Pros: Great location. Great breakfast. Plenty of hot water. Soft sheets. Nice pool area. Very nice staff. Cons: Old, dirty, disgusting moldy looking shower curtain. Physical keys are a safety risk. . . anyone could have a copy. Lack of plugs. Beat up furniture. Moldy area on ceiling. No grab bar in shower. Toilet barely flushes. Thin walls, making it difficult to sleep. Parties going on in the parking lot all night and since the room doors open directly into the parking lot, it is loud and scary. Only allowed 1 roll of TP at a time, so get more before you run out! Cleaning cart constantly parked outside my door, blocking my exit. And worst of all. . . the faucets! They are old and I had to pull on them with all my strength to get water to some on. I wrenched a shoulder and almost fell. Property DESPERATELY needs updating.

We really like the western themes, documentary video, nice folks and right on main street, US Hwy 89, one of America's most scenic. Everything worked just the way it's supposed to. Very quiet, too, considering it's right by the highway.

The room was very clean and had refrigerator microwave and coffeemaker. Loved the setting and history. So convenient to park right in front of our room. A nice sitting area in front of our door while I enjoyed morning coffee was a benefit. We did not get a chance to have the movie in the barn but would have enjoyed that as well. The breakfast was the best and very economical! Definitely would stay here again.

It was clean and cute and historical. Not overly comfortable. Only one armless chair. Bathroom light blinding but better than too dim I suppose. We’ve had better breakfasts in places that didn’t charge extra and were quieter and better organized.

We loved the overall experience and for the affordability of the room we booked. It was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and accommodating with our check in despite the delay in getting the room prepared in time. The breakfast was one of the best we've had while staying at a hotel/lodge.

A very large historical hotel with lots to take in. Wonderful friendly & helpful staff willing to talk about the history of the hotel and take care of checking us in. Check in went smoothly. Parking right next to our room was nice & convenient. Grounds were nicely cared for. Felt very safe. Walked to dinner & felt safe doing that too. 3 night stay. The hotel is dated & in need of some updates but in keeping with the history some things need to stay. Each room is assigned an actor/actress name and wall art is signed pictures of them in the movies they played in. So that’s cool. The beds were comfy. The outlets not good; need more & those they had were loose fitting connections. Good thing we brought other plug in options. Did not use the pool but others did. Had 2 nice fire pits we did use and enjoyed meeting others there. Provided a lovely buffet breakfast; not continental. It actually is their restaurant. You pay $12/person. They also own the restaurant Iron Horse across the street which was very good.

Out on a motorcycle trip through southern Utah National Parks. I had booked a room some where else that was a mistake. This place booked me a room late at night and was very helpful and courteous. The Buffet breakfast was done well with fresh eggs. And someone knows how to bake a good chocolate chip cookie. Will dtay here again if I am through Kanab!

Cute and kitschy

This is a cute and kitschy hotel. It is dated, but is priced accordingly! Great value for the $$. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean, although the cleaners missed two pieces of paper on the carpet: one a few inches under the bed, and one under the desk.

A classic location that takes great pride in its western movie heritage Pros: -Very nice staff -Clean room -Working pool -Cute nightly Western movie -Outdoor fire pits by the pool -Good "charm" factor of old Westerns and early movie days Cons: -No easy outlets to charge devices -AC unit in double room right against one of the beds, guaranteeing that one person freezes or both are too hot -No free breakfast, but they have a dining room where you can buy breakfast

Nice place to stay. Dated older lodge, but would stay again. Floors weren't cleaned, and small patio was dirty. This was my second stay.
