Close to kyoto station. Off to the side so it’s nearby one of the entrances to the trains. Theres a 7-11 next door and the small alleyway connects to the yodobashi and kyoto tower. So they’re plenty of closeby choices to eat and shop at

Lovely, clean, safe and the staff were super friendly. It was one of the bigger size APA hotel we stayed in. Very convenient to the metro and shopping area. And there is a bus station nearby to take you to tourist spot. Would stay here again. The

Perfect location
Perfect walking distance to kyoto station. Perfect to easily reach any place in kyoto, or easily go to a day trip to other city. Overall state of the rooms was fair for the price. Public bath, although small was in good condition.

I absolutely loved it, it’s super nice and clean there’s a coffee shop right across from it. It’s also near the train station. The staff is super helpful if you have questions they do understand English and try and help as best as they can.

The staff is excellent, always ready to help. For me it was very important to be located near an station, this hotel was the perfect one, easy walkable distance from Kyoto Station where you can take buses, trains and metro. There is also a shopping and food gallery in the same station. About cleanliness, I would advice to be more careful on details -I found stuff under my bed and under the desk on the carpet, also one of the sheets had a small breakage.

I stayed for one night and I thought this was a great option. The price was great for the location (just outside of the east side of Kyoto station). The hotel is like most of the APA hotels, except it has a sento (public bath) for the guests so I think that's a nice bonus. The rooms come with a bathtub so you can have a small bath and they have lots of amenities for you, like a hairband, water and more. What I think could be better is the bed. The one I got is either very soft by design or it should be replaced for a newer one. I prefer firmer beds so it was a bit hard to get a good sleep, but if this is something you like then you're in luck!

Great place to stay in Kyoto
APA Hotel Kyoto Ekihigashi was one of the best hotel we have stayed in. All of the staff is friendly organized and try very hard to be as helpful as possible. The breakfast was great, a wide variety of different foods for every culture. The had a big public bath one for men and one for women. A great experience. Refrigerator in the room use of microwave and you can do your only laundry. The big kicker it is 10 minutes away from Kyoto station and alt of delicious restaurants.

Excellent property. Awesome location 3 min from Kyoto station. Easy access to public transportation. Great alley way directly in front with awesome bars and dining. Will stay here my next trip there. Rooms were bigger than the Apa i stayed at in Tokyo.
