We had a great stay. It's recently been updated so everything was nice. The pizza place around the corner was excellent. We had a lake view. The sunrise was AMAZING.

Very much liked the dressing area available, the pool/spa area has a fantastic view. Overall facilities were great- I marked it down because not once during our stay did they have coffee…. Sorry that’s a must for us! - Not in the room or the lobby. But, other than that one minor thing- we will definitely come back!

All of the motels in the area are straight out of the 1960s. Crown is no exception other than the room surprises you with some modern updates. It was clean, had a great view, and felt safe. The time of year we visited was just between summer and winter, so the whole town is basically shut down. Not an issue with the motel! We decided to checkout early due to weather and got some great travel advice from the front desk.

I’d like to recommend this motel. It’s way higher than my expectations compare to its price. The facilities are old but function normally. What I love best are the location and kitchen in the room. They have a fantastic view of hot tub, don’t forget to bring your suits.

Very cosy well maintained place, right next to the beach and the bus stop. Lots of restaurants nearby and shops and grocery stores. I also very much appreciated the kettle, tea, and hot apple cider in the room. Very much appreciated a nice warm cup after a long day exploring!

Our last minute reservation at the Crown Motel had us a little concerned about noise since we always request a top floor for just that reason. We were pleasantly surprised after our first night was surprisingly quiet. We requested a top floor the second night and although the motel was almost full, they graciously let us move to an upper floor that even had a beach view!! The beach view rooms are recently remodeled and just lovely. We well know it is difficult to find a reasonable beachside view place to stay on Lake Tahoe but we suggest you check out The Crown Motel.
