The grounds are always lovely. The staff is friendly. The remodeled rooms need new carpet. The lighting is dim. The bathroom sink is so high I felt like a little kid brushing my teeth. All first world problems. It is the essence of Welcome to Lee Vining: It is what it is. Uniquely charming.
Fine for a short stay. I've stayed here before and will come back. Room was up-to-date and adequately clean. Location is close to Lee Vining's few restaurants. Like anywhere in Lee Vining, hotel is right next to fairly busy highway. Hotel parking is tight but adequate. Staff was professional if not super-friendly.
At short notice, there were not many option for a place to stay around Yosemite. So we book Lake View Lodge and we had Cottage with 1 queen bed. All Cottage does not have A/C. It is very hot for summer time. The linens are outdated, no body wash, towels are very old, should have some new ones.
It was very close to Mariposa entrance to Yosemite which is why we chose it. The staff were indifferent and the room was not well maintained. Broken light inn shower, loose sanitary fittings, noisy AC. Breakfast was a joke with little food. Lots of staff (three) but just sitting chatting. The onsite restaurant was pricey but okay. With their location they clearly don't feel the need to try very hard and it shows.
At short notice, there were not very many options for a place to stay in Lee Vining. Although this hotel had some mixed reviews, we were pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. We stayed in the three bedroom cottage in back so that we could have two queen beds. (So it was more expensive than it would’ve been if a single room were available with two double beds). The room we were in was in excellent condition and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The attached restaurant has great views of the surrounding area, including some of the lake and beautiful outdoor seating and the food was excellent, including vegetarian options. The hotel was about as close as you can get to experiences at Mono Lake, which we enjoyed very much.
Can get crowded with parking. The linens are outdated and could use new fresh ones. Great stay as always here.

Lake View Inn in Lee Vining CA
In our room, basin and shower faucets were extremely difficult to operate. So much so, that we called management because we thought that they were broken. Other than that, the rooms were comfortable and quiet.
There is an air of contradiction to this resort. First off. Lake View. Very few of the rooms have a view of the lake, most like mine on the 2nd floor have a view of a low rise before the lake. Secondly they charged an $11 environmental fee, which I wouldn't object to except the rooms were then provided with individual bars of soap and small PLASTIC containers of shampoo and body wash. Guaranteeing both items would be thrown away before being used up. All other resorts I've stayed at on this trip had refillable dispensers in the shower. If you're hoing to use the most environmentally damaging option, don't charge me for your choice.

Nice place to stay overnight if on a long roadtrip. Restaurants and convenience store 1block away
This is a lovely property and the Basic Cafe on property was fantastic. Room was quite large and the beds were large queens as well. The outlets need to be update as the super chargers for phones, etc. were hard to keep in place. The bathroom areas need some improvements. The shower curtain was soured and gave the whole bath a bad aroma. The plumbing was not too great in terms of trying to get a good flush out of the toilet, and the water fixtures were not so good operatively. It was very nice to have a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge /freezer. Were it not for the bathroom amenities, I would stay again, but those are too important to let slide in my opinion. Everything else was great and front check in was easy and fast.
Three nights stay, no house keeping....no bathtub, dirty towels, no AC, so tiny room. Charge for like a city's gorgeous hotels. It's OK, people come more and more..because EASTERN SIERRA is very beautiful places. I really like this area, since 2006...but Now I seriously hate this area's lodge, Motel..not like before.
It’s camping. You have a cute cabin and a short walk to the bathroom.

Convenient, clean spot. The rooms and their contents are a bit tired but the online information was honest about that. Good people. Cute next door breakfast place. Overall good stay.
We stayed one night, but it was a nice stay. The property is landscaped beautifully & was pleasant to walk around. The only thing we found that could be improved is the need for more lighting in the room at night, and the bathroom sink is unusually high-a short person would be reaching up & over the top to wash their hands. But neither of these detracted from our stay.
Lake View Lodge is our family go to place to stay while visiting the Lee Vining, Mono Lake, and surrounding areas. The customer service is excellent. This visit, I stayed in a room downstairs with a double bed. The room was clean and spacious. I also did not hear any noise from the highway at night. I stayed six nights and was offered maid service. I also used the laundry room (takes quarters only). The property is well maintained and super relaxing. The Basin Cafe is conveniently located on the property and the food is excellent. I really enjoyed my visit and plan to return.
The sinks were way too high. A couple of the lamps didn't work. The TV lost service. The rooms were cleaned every 3 days. Parking was very limited. The surroundings were pretty but way too many inconveniences. I won't stay there again unless I'm desperate and it's the only place available. The people at the front desk were mostly nice.
