We immensely enjoyed our stay. All the amenities were so thoughtfully stocked. Everything was done with such impressively intentionality. Our family was in much need of some time together and this property provided just that. The hosts were so kind and generous. We would definitely return if given the chance.

All seasons can be enjoyed at this location. Secluded and quiet with trails all around. So many other things within an hours drive. The hosts were very nice. They try and provide more than just a place to stay. We plan on going back in the fall for the color tour.

Great home to stay in while sightseeing up north.
We were two couples staying in this clean and well maintained home. An extra nice touch upon arrival is that there were beautifully made samples from the property owner of honey, maple syrup, and fresh eggs! One tiny thing to mention is that we were so excited about our trip that we didn't think through that one couple would be in a bed in the living room, even though the property clearly and honestly states that in the listing. It was still a very, very nice place to stay, with every amenity you could ever hope for. We recommend this high-quality rental home to anyone needing a place to stay near Arcadia. It truly is an upscale home away from home!

Great stay!
Guys golf-weekend for four of us. 15 minutes from Arcadia Bluffs and 15 minutes from a grocery store, pizza place and small town. Cooked some meals in a well supplied kitchen and great Weber Grill. Local products offered like FRESH eggs, honey and sugars made/farmed from the owners across the driveway. Very nice people and pleasant to talk to the one time we did. Beds were all very comfortable very clean all around! Would recommend and come back.

The Perfect Getaway!
This cozy home was the perfect spot for our family of 6! Super clean home! We had everything we needed here. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location was perfect! The hosts, also the neighbors, were super friendly, easy to talk to, and quick to respond to any needs we had. The maple syrup and honey left by the hosts was an extra special touch and left us wanting more! If you are looking for the perfect spot to visit Michigan's beaches, look no further! You will not be disappointed.

This place sets the bar high!
EVERYTHING was perfect - the home is so nice and has everything you need from linens to cleaning supplies to all your "feel right at home" items. I've been wanting to write a nice long review but having trouble finding the time so let me say a few things that I saw before I rented this home ------ YES they leave you honey and maple syrup from their farms, such an awesome touch! So delicious that we bought some to take home with us. NO it is not a problem that the main house is close to the rental. The owners could not be more respectful and kind and will not be in your way or in your space (although we loved talking to them and getting tips of places to go!). YES this will be one of the cleanest and most comfortable homes you have stayed in (and I am picky!). The beds/bathrooms -BED 1 there is a bed behind the couch against the wall in the family room. It is not in the way if you don't use it, but nice if you would need it. BED 2 & 3 - very nice bunk set in one of the bedrooms. BED 4 - the "master bedroom". ALL beds are crazy comfortable, I read a review about that before I went and it is true. BATHROOM - is very nice and clean and has toiletries in it. There is a shampoo/conditioner dispenser on the wall. My 14 yr old daughter liked it so much, she asked if i could find out what kind of shampoo it was and buy it. One place I wish we knew about right away is the best beach out of all the ones we went to (& we went to many) is Frankfort Beach, crazy close to the house and you would swear you are at the ocean! Nice sand, great for kids, they even have swings down by the water!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
If you are looking for a secluded getaway located in close proximity to local amenities, this is the place. My wife and I, along with our 2 year old son, stayed here for a few nights. PROS: -If you are a soft bed person, which we are, this king sized bed is the softest bed we have ever had on any trip we have ever taken. SO SOFT AND SO NICE! -Robin is literally the worlds greatest VRBO host. No other experience could convince me otherwise. This place is outfitted with everything you could possibly need. From natural detergents and soaps, a weeks supply of coffee, condiments in the fridge, highchair/pack and play for the kids, kindling for the fire pit, etc. There is a long list of over the top positive things about this place. It really seems like Robin has this place set up for her personal guests to enjoy... and that is not something you find with most VRBO's. -Mike explained how the house is made of solid concrete (which is just pretty cool in general). This aids in keeping the house cool but not cold. It also has a rockin' HVAC system, which is not always the case with Michigan vacation rentals. -Owners have cut trails through the property that allow guests to explore the woods and wildlife. -Property is very quiet in the evenings and at night. -When we arrived there was a jar of honey and maple syrup on the counter. Both produced on the farm. Also got the chance to try their fresh strawberry jam (so freaking good). THE ONLY POSSIBLE CONS: -Floors are polished concrete so they are very slick when they are wet. So our son fell several times after bath time. He's 2 though... so he's probably going to fall no matter what. -It's a guest house with a workshop under the unit. It's a working farm, so there can be quite a bit of noise from work that is going on in the shop. This happened several times in short durations and really wasn't a big deal to us. -You have to leave eventually and that sucks. All in all, Robin/Mike and their family are great people and great Americans. This place is where you want to stay. We plan on eventually coming back to stay again and bring a few other people with us. **If you do stay, make sure to ask Robin and Mike for their local recommendations. The told us where the locals go to eat, where they go for ice cream, and where they go to pick strawberries. We tried all of their recommendations and really changed our trip for the better. Were able to stay away from the tourist traps.**

Nice Property, But Not Very Private
The house was really nice, lots of little details put into the stocking of the kitchen and the organization of the furniture, etc. The shower was awesome and just a cool place to stay. The property was awesome with lots of wide trails to explore and we even got a tour from the owners and he spoke to us about his bees and the sugar shack. Super cool feature to learn a little! I will say, however, that we felt a little "watched." The owner's home is actually on the other side of the driveway, not across the street as is listed. The only sitting area was out the front door, and it overlooks the driveway and the owner's home. The workshop is in the attached garage to the VRBO underneath the house and while it wasn't a big deal and not very loud, we could hear the owner working in the shop one evening while we were there. Also, it rained (not a downpour or a thunderstorm, just a light steady rain) one day and we had accidentally left the windows open. When we returned, the windows had been closed, I'm assuming by the owners, who entered our VRBO without letting us know before or afterward. There is tons to do in the area, from a distillery tour at Ironfish, to the Betsie Lighthouse, beaches, fishing, and a cool overlook called Inspiration Point to watch the sunset over the lake. Overall, our stay was fun and relaxing, but personally, we won't stay here again because we like a little more privacy.

Hidden gem with all the amenities of home
We enjoyed a three night stay during a perfect northern Michigan golf getaway. Very clean, well appointed kitchen, bath and all around all the comforts of home. The homeowners live across the driveway and are very accessible to help with any questions we had. They were also gracious enough to share the history of their honey and syrup making business. Upon our arrival there was honey and syrup on the countertop of which we all enjoyed with breakfast. We will certainly stay again and will recommend this as an option to our golfing friends when boating Arcadia Bluffs.

A Wonderful Trip to Scenic Acres
This place was perfect for our family of four. The property is beautiful and minutes from the beach, many beautiful overlooks and dunes! The cabin itself was decorated very nicly and was very clean. The hosts were more than accommodating and also let our kids pick fresh eggs from the farm. They also have delicious syrup and honey! Everything you need is here. We overpacked and were surprised we almost needed to bring nothing. We hope to come back soon! This is definitely a favorite on our VRBO Michigan board!

Scenic Acres was the perfect Michigan staycation destination for our family. The owners were very welcoming and the guest house was well stocked, organized, and clean. The gracious owners have created a unique experience along the shores of Lake Michigan for visitors that crave adventure and a taste of local goods in the form of maple syrup and honey - so delicious! The kids enjoyed a farm tour and were able collect fresh eggs for the next day's breakfast. We highly recommend the Baldy Dune Trail, Arcadia Marsh, and a jaunt through Frankfort ending at the beach. Skip the hotel and plan a curated stay in Arcadia at Scenic Acres.

Great rental in Acadia
We stayed in a renovated 2 bedroom flat that was part of a working 80 acre farm close to Lake Michigan. It was quiet and serene and had a fully stocked kitchen, large bathroom, laundry room and two bedrooms. Included was high speed internet, satellite tv with Netflix. A very neat feature were the heated concrete floors which was able to heat the entire area comfortably so that turning on the heat was rarely needed We especially enjoyed the many private trails where we could snowshoe. The location was only a 15 minute drive to Chrystal Mountain. The hosts were very friendly and attentive to our needs. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
