Seasonal Road Closure Notice: HWY 120 (Tioga Pass) generally closes for the winter from late October through late June. Daily closures can also occur during periods of inclement weather in spring and fall. The Eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is located 45 minutes from Mammoth Lakes. Yosemite's Eastern Gate or Tuolumne Meadows is not accessible when Tioga Pass is closed. All other Yosemite National Park entrances are open year round. It is very well located but the rooms are very very very old and dated. But appropriate. The carpet could be replaced. The bedding is very very clean and comfortable.

Stunning resort
We had a long drive from Las Vegas, early November, the locations and overall feel of the resort and its beauty is breath taking. The heater in the room was a little noisy and there weren’t extra blankets in the room. But as a Ski destination, its a must. The food in the restaurant was amazing.

Old but pretty good
Old lodge that could use plumbing and heat updating. The room was comfortable for what it was and the people onsite were incredibly friendly. Loved the hot tubs!

I think the hotel is mainly for ski, but we are going to experience mammoth lake beautiful natural scenarios , so it’s a little bit inconvenient. But it’s a good hotel, the front desk is super nice and helped us warm the sandwich.

Very rundown room. Could hardly turn on sink faucet. Heater/AC was very noisy and turned on and off randomly all night. Very rundown room in need if repair and expensive.

Value choice, dated, mountain location
Hotel has three different buildings, one has West and East Wing. Each building different. The annex does not have an elevator to 2nd level. Very limited food options at this location.The hotel has a restaurant. The Yodeler is basically only open in the winter. Otherwise you need to drive 10 min back down into town. Great location for skiing ski out, or accessing devil's post pile. (Summer). We liked the hotel well enough to have this be a return trip, but this time I noticed bed sheets did not seem to be cotton. There will be some some minor renovations in some parts of the hotel late fall '24. App is not letting me add photos.

Good location at the top of the town. Relatively easy to get downtown and to some natural sites. Rooms are a little dated but generally well cared for. Carpets could use replacement. Front desk staff and housekeeping were wonderful & helpful. Restaurant staff were ok but become less helpful approaching the 9 PM closing time; get there before 8:30 PM for better service.

The room was like an inside cabin on a ship. The window faced other windows and concrete. No view of Mammoth. The shower curtain rod was about to fall off. Hot room, no A/C. Elevator was slow and jerky. The facility needs some renovation.
