Ashland has very limited hotels to choose from. Hampton Inn is ridiculously overpriced and Wyndham has been left to disrepair. This week I discovered Quality Inn has new owners. I worked as the National Guard armory supervisor in Ashland from 1994-2000 and I have stayed at most of the hotels. The new owners of Quality Inn have done a high quality remodel while keeping their pricing relatively low. I have just one complaint and that is the powerful urine smell coming from the bathroom. I brought this to ownerships attention but the problem was not resolved. It comes down to not cleaning under the toilet seat well enough (easily visible if you look). This is my new place to stay when in town visiting my kids. The owner even offered to work with me on the price if I booked directly with him versus online. Good job!

Worth it!

Good clean room, nice staff, breakfast was good, except for lack of fruit the first day. Indoor pool was clean, but not heated.

Great hotel for the price. Rooms were clean, nice sized fridge with freezer. Could use an update, but overall, it was better than expected.

Unfortunately the only thing I’d say about the hotel that was good, we’re the front desk staff. It was quite apparent that the hotel had not been updated in some time, the fridge wasn’t usable due to mold in it and not being cleaned for presumably awhile. The air conditioning in the room barely worked and it didn’t circulate around the room well. The bathroom vent didn’t work, so I believe it just added to the overall smell of the room being must. The outside door around the side of the building was just unlocked and didn’t require a key card so anyone likely could’ve walked into the hotel. Unless I missed it, I didn’t see breakfast anywhere and the coffee I attempted to receive was not refilled either. Unfortunately I don’t know if I’d stay there again especially for the price ($323). My card was incorrectly charged multiple times before the right amount was taken out days later, there was also a charge on my card before I checked in and then the additional night, plus the $100 security deposit. Just seemed all very disorganized.

Just ok

Our stay was ok. We were there for a softball tournament. I looked at the reviews and most were an 8-10. The pool area was great it's very large with lots of tables so for families with kids it was very nice. The staff/owners were very nice and accommodating. The place needs a renovation but was clean as far as the pool area and lobby. Our room was just ok. There were cobb Webb's in the corner, a dirty wash cloth behind the bathroom door. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well. The floors looked clean no spots. The bedding was a little dicey. I couldn't decide if the top cover was dirty or not. However we were only there one night, and the price with tax was a little over $130. So you kind of get what you paid for. I am picky with hotel stays. From the reviews it didn't sound bad just needed some renovations but I don't think I would stay there again. The staff was nice, breakfast looked decent. Overall it was ok.
