The check-in process was smooth. Room was dirty. Trash was left under the bed and behind the TV. The hotel had a moldy smell. And the elevator kept getting stuck so we had to take the stairs.

Terrible condition of the ventilation system. Air in lobby is polluted with perfumed air to cover who knows what Health and safety concerns for guests and staff. I had to leave because of the pollution affecting my breathing.

The rooms are very dated. The mattresses should have been replaced 10 years ago. The breakfast was awful. They made us pay $34 for a 3rd person for a very basic buffet. The bathroom was very dirty as well.

The hotel was nice BUT our room did have water damage in the bathroom and you could smell it. The time was only squishy when you walked on it. We did have 2 double and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was very thin and almost unbearable.

It was very easy and safe to get from one place to the other shopping food and everything I like that and I feel safe. I went around the mall and have a good time and walked back to my room so it was very safe. The room could smell a little better, but otherwise overall, it was OK

Just before we travelled we were informed that the pool was closed and there was no longer transport to the cruise port, it was too late for us to make other arrangements and no compensation offered. The hotel is a dump, the room smelled of damp and mold, the one redeeming factor was the bed which was comfortable.

Although the view from the 9th floor was amazing we needed to relocate due to a very musty smell in our room, the staff were great changing our room but they only offered us 2 double beds instead of a king size which I paid for with no indication that they would be giving me somewhat of a refund

No one answered phone was on hold when someone finally did. Rooms were nasty hair on sheets in me and husband room the other room was hot toilet didn’t flush towels smelled horrible. No sign on place and the list goes on NEVER AGAIN The only good thing was that our flight was delayed and we were allowed to check in at 2 AM

The building is older and while areas like the lobby and restaurant seem to have been updated, the rooms seem lacking. There were spots where paint was peeling, the outlets were loose, and the tub wasnt balanced which left water pooling in it. The room was clean and furnished nicely though.

Great one night stay before and after a cruise. Basic but if you want something reasonably priced and close too Miami Port this is a convenient location. BTW, take a taxi to and from port on a meter otherwise you will get ripped off. I paid $40 and my sister same date and time paid $14.00! ( she used taxi on Meter) I stupidly fell for a flat fee of $40.

Musty smell in the room and hallways. Very old dirty carpets, etc. only the lobby was nice and clean. Not the rooms. We stayed two nights and for both nights they told us their parking is full and we had to pay $50-$80 per night to park in another parking and then walk there. There is no space to stop in front of the hotel to drop off your family. There is no holiday inn sign even to know this is your hotel. We will not stay here again.

Good hotel in a great location
My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami, Downtown for two nights before a cruise. We were impressed with the location, being across the street from Bayside Market, so there were a lot of restaurants and stores close by, plus it is a short walk to the Frost Science Museum. We almost couldn’t find the hotel, however, as there is no sign on the outside to indicate what it is. We also found that while the room we were given was spacious and clean, it was quite old and in need of some repairs. The view from the window in our room was of the basketball stadium and a bit of the bay, and that was pleasant, as was the availability of a cheap drive to the cruise port from a driver who waited for passengers in the lobby. While I would not say that this hotel is fantastic, it is a good place to stay before a cruise and is in a great location.
