This was the most disgusting hotel ever!! Homeless people sleeping on the front steps. Back door didn’t lock and leads to an alley where anyone can get in. There were clearly people living in the hotel as well. The smell was so strong I almost threw up. The floors were so filthy I had to wear shoes the entire time. DO NOT STAY HERE!

False Promises
The amenities listed for this hotel, are in fact for the Ambassador Hotel across the street. It was not soundproof, had no blackout curtains, and does not have a bar, but the Ambassador Hotel across the street does & the kind woman at the front desk informed us that the Ambassador owns the Ramada, so that justifies the false amenities listed for this hotel. My boyfriend was injured while showering, because the showerhead cracked and hit him in the face, to which there was no manager present to report the accident to. When booking the hotel, I reviewed all charges to make sure I knew what I was paying, and was surprised by a $100 deposit, on top of the room charges & fees, that was mentioned no where on the hotel information or in my pricing summary. That same $100 deposit was not shown on our receipt when we checked out. To park in the hotel parking lot was an extra $20 a day, that was also not mentioned anywhere in the hotel information.

Just because there are tile floors doesn't mean they don't need cleaning like carpet. Room floor was dirty. That's a huge turnoff for this customer.

Ask and confirm fees before checking in. What Expedia showed and what was the actual amount was different. There was a charge for parking, "incidentals" fee, and some other fee. Plus, we were told that u have to request room service when u need new sheets and towels.

Easy check in, parking lot across the street ($20). Lobby was a bit bare but rooms nicely decorated and clean. Quiet street. No cable, just streaming services on tv. Friendly staff 🙂

I had to wait for a long time at the front desk while the clerk did something on her computer before I could check in. The elevator was about the size of a closet. We could barely fit two people and two suitcases in it, and the elevator button didn't light up to show you had pressed it. Our first room had a faulty thermostat, so even though it was set at 68, the actual ltemperature in the room was 75. I partially opened a window, only to discover there were no screens to keep bugs out. We complained about the room temperature and were moved to a different room. Our second room was cooler but it had three light switches, only one of which turned a light on. The rooms had manufactured wood flooring rather than carpeting. On the plus side, the rooms were clean and inexpensive.

Stayed for one night, it was perfect for what I needed. Literally just needed a place to stay for the night. Check in was smooth and fast. Beds were clean, bathroom, room overall, appliances were as well. Only inconvenience for me was my room had a clogged toilet. Again, for one night it wasn’t a big deal. I had a clean bed, slept well, showered in the morning, and left. No hassle in between.

We were the first ones to stay at the hotel after the remodel. The rooms were brand new, clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful! The hotel has the same owners as the ambassodor so we coyld use the shuttle to go to all of our events we had planned, we also had access to the 2 reataurants they have. I will definitely stay here again!

This is the Ramada renovated but something is off! There are no recent reviews because they’ve been closed since Covid & just reopened 2 weeks ago.From what I understand this properly used to house misplaced people and you can tell! Watch out for that elevator door it will take your fingers off! The rooms are nice but if they don’t get new housekeepers, raise the prices, and get better toilet paper this property will look like it was before! The worse is the area! Lock your doors leave nothing in your car! I literally witnessed with my own eyes the Kia Boyz stealing someone’s car! And don’t go around the corner it’s BAD! The area is unsafe! This place wouldn’t be bad if Milwaukee cleaned it up! I recommend you stay at the Ambassador Hotel right across the street! I won’t stay again because I definitely felt unsafe!
