We arrived at the property around 11:30pm and saw that the lobby was closed and had a small moment of panic but then saw directions for after hours checkin. Getting the keys to our room was super easy. The room had 2 queens but still felt spacious, the bathroom was very clean and the area around the hotel was quiet. The hotel offered a free bagged breakfast of a granola bar, yogurt and bear claw. I would definitely return.

We try to get to the area at least yearly and the Shasta Inn never disappoints. The rooms are always clean and well maintained and the restaurant always has fresh and innovative fare. The craft cocktails are a must! Lots of wonderful places to see are within walking distance of this wonderful property.

My room was a single queen and had enough space for my stuff and a road bike. The room was clean and didn’t have that “we’re covering up something” smell. The only downside was that there wasn’t anywhere to put toiletries. I figured it out so wasn’t an issue. Single queen rooms would not work for 2 people - perfect for one person. The restaurant was great. Great people and really good food.

Very enjoyable older property that's clean and comfortable, with cool table lamps! In the fall the numerous oak trees drop acorns which can be a little noisy but I didn’t mind. It added to the woodsy ambiance.

Beautiful environment, small room
Rooms are small although we did have a king size bed. Lots of hot water but the shower curtain couldn’t keep the water from getting all over the floor. Tiny bathroom and strange setup. All in all the rooms are efficient and the atmosphere of the town and surrounding areas are beautiful. You can sit on the walkway outside your room. It’s not a patio but there are chairs and a table for every room. The coffee in the room wasn’t half bad.

this was a perfect stay in every way. with a baby and dog with us, we're always nervous traveling with them and how they'll react to new environments. but this place did not disappoint, as it was cozy and accommodating in every way. Aaron the manager of the property was awesome and took such good care of us and always offering local recs and going the extra mile to help us feel welcome. there are restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance of the property, which made things very convenient and fun, especially when not wanting to drive everywhere. we will be staying here again on our next visit soon!

Very clean room and super comfortable bed
Fast check in. Very clean room and very comfortable bed. Room was small but sufficient. No comfortable chairs to sit in, just metal stools at a counter. Chairs and a table outside the room on the walkway and a beautiful evening so we sat outside for while. Beware of the acorns falling in late summer, they were falling like leaves and were big. Disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open (it’s closed Tuesday and Wednesday) because it looked very nice.

This stay was perfect for a 2 day stay during our redwoods journey thru northern CA. The onsite restaurant was excellent, and the staff was great. I would definitely return should I find myself wanting to return to Mt. Shasta in the future.

I’m going to begin this review by saying the staff was absolutely amazing wonderful and nice so my review has nothing to do with them. Just be aware this property is old. Our room was extremely clean but very small. There wasn’t even a place to sit down and we had the deluxe king small bathroom no ventilation and the first floor did not feel safe as there is no fence behind the property. The problem with this again is the age. The walls are paper thin our first couple of days were fine because there was no one there at the hotel going forward. It was a nightmare. In fact, we left a day early due to the level of noise that filtered into our room. It is located very conveniently next to restaurants and places to go walking Again, the staff was very nice. The location is nice but be prepared for no sleep rock hard beds and if you’re on the first floor, not feeling safe.
