Check in was easy, very quite and beach is at seeing distance. Room was clean and bathroom was stocked with towls, unlike many hotels that only give you two.

There was black mold and pink mildew in the shower, tooth paste on the walls in the bathroom, puke on a chair, the floors were disgusting. When I expressed my disgust (respectfully) all I got was "I'm sorry ma'am, we didn't know it was that bad."

Built in 1972, Midtown is one of the few landmark family owned local motels. I stayed there one night to reconnect with my childhood. I was not disappointed. It is in the heart of Myrtle Beach and has retained that precious vibe of yesteryear. Just good friendly people who care about every customer. The place is a simple, basic motel with the amenities you need, including a small kitchen. It is clean and secure. There is coffee in office but you can't get to it in the morning since the office is closed. Just steps to the ocean, I would stay again.

The staff is amazing. I’ve been here several times and this time accidentally booked the wrong room. They were happy to help and moved me right away to accommodate our needs. This place isn’t bougie. It’s convenient, friendly, clean, and a block from the beach with ocean views. I absolutely love it for the price, location and staff.
