I checked in around midnight on a Friday. Front door was locked, which is understandable. I pressed the button and was immediately able enter and check in. My room was small but quiet but smelled faintly of marijuana smoke. Perhaps since my room was on the third floor above the entrance, the a/c brought the smell in. Breakfast was fine, some items freshly cooked. The hotel is easy to find and near multiple subway lines. I would stay here again.

The location is amazing.. close to the large Macy’s as well as many other places. The staff was very kind and welcoming. As soon as we walked into the hotel and a staff member noticed we had children and looked tired after traveling, he automatically gave us water while we checked in! It might have looked like a small act of kindness, but we were thirsty and stressed from flying then driving and it was much appreciated. I will definitely be returning.

Our stay was great. We were able to check in early which was awesome. The room was very comfortable and quite even considering the elevators were right next to our room. The hotel staff was great. The subway was very close which ran the R and N trains with uptown/downtown options. All in all it was a great experience. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

I booked a room with two double beds for three nights, assuming it would have a city view based on the photos. However, the first room assigned to me was on lower floor, and the only view was of an office building across the street. I requested a room change, and a male staff member kindly offered to move me to a higher room with a city view, so I checked out and checked back in. In the afternoon, however, a female staff member with glasses reassigned me to the same floor room with the same view. When I complained, she didn’t even check for other rooms and angrily claimed there were none available. She said the city view photos on the website were just for advertising and couldn’t understand my request. She then offered to place me in a higher room but with one bed instead of two, or to pay an additional fee for a better view on a higher floor. I insisted that this was unacceptable, and eventually, she assigned me a higher-floor room with two beds, proving that rooms were indeed available. I was very dissatisfied with her dishonesty and the poor treatment I received as a guest staying for three nights. If you are assigned a lower floor, you won’t get any city view, so don’t be misled by the photos.

Considering it is NY, the property was okay. Housekeeping staff were a little rude. When we ask for extra towels as we have used all the towels we had, one of the house manager kind of person said, we will only give you towels if we clean your room. They had towels right front of our room and the person said that was right there. I did not have the time to complain about it as were were always out. After all we were in NYC. However that was not great service.
