Friendly hotel with faded grandeur

Excellent location

Pros: Location and frienliness of staff
Cons: Bar prices
Location: In town centre close to many pubs and restaurants
Overall a pleasant overnight stay with a surprisingly good sized room overlooking the courtyard.bar prices too high was a downfall.

Rutland Arms Hotel

Nice hotel right in the centre of Newmarket. Nice bijou double room, but I was aware of this when I booked. I was unfortunately ill, but I can not fault the housekeeping team who came to clean the room. The hotel is huge so be prepared to do a fair bit of walking from reception to your room, if in one of the higher numbered rooms.
