Our stay was fantastic, and the accommodations are very updated. There were stains on the ceiling that should be addressed. It must be in need of a new roof, and I would hate to see all of that beautiful space be infected by mold.

We had a great overnight experience! The room looked very clean, updated, and had a beautiful color palette. We were planning to stay in a room with 1 bed and a pull-out sofa, but were offered a 2-bed room instead upon arrival, which was very nice and much appreciated! The only complaint we had was that there was a strong, funky smell in the rooms and even on the sheets when we first got in bed. I'm assuming it's associated with something they used to clean, but it doesn't smell clean or pleasant - kind of like really strong, sweet, artificial fruit maybe. That was a bit off-putting, but for the convenience of the location, price, and other benefits of this location, I'd still stay here again.

I booked a room that slept 3 people (2 double beds). The room had one queen bed and a pull out couch. Expedia charged me extra for the 3rd person which I wasn’t aware of until check-in. The sofa bed (for the 3rd person) was not useable due to being extremely uncomfortable (all springs). When asked about this at check in, we were notified that a room with 2 beds would have been a chargeable upgrade. I was very disappointed.

Country Oasis by-the-sea and Newport
Looking for lodging around Newport, RI, where hotels can be pricey, I came across this gem of a 'country oasis' in Portsmouth near the water, and easy to get to. Arrived late as I had a busy day. When I opened the room door, the suite looked brand new, with a nice sitting area that was separated by a clean bathroom from the comfortable separate bedroom down the hall. A great place to stay!
