The uniqueness was that the rooms were separate to the bar, which were well appointed .
The staff were very pleasant and willing to accommodate wherever it was possible.
Excellent breakfast with a delightful location
We have stayed her three times now and this times was virtually perfect.
I stay away from home a lot and have a real thing about cleanliness - this hotel is immaculate, not a hair or a spot of mildew in site.
The staff were all super friendly and efficient and our breakfasts were amazing !
What an absolute pleasure.
My only comment is that it could do with a couple more plug sockets or even a couple of USB ports
Generally excellent except for a lack of lower a!cohol lager or Carling or Carlsberg, stronger ones not good for people with type 2 diabetes as they contain to much sugar.
This is the second time ive stayed at the county and yet again didnt disappoint, great food lovely pub and rooms and brilliant friendly staff a little gem
The hotel and stay was lovely and I would recommend staying here. The only thing I would say was the restaurant was expensive and the pillows on the bed a bit to soft for me but overall I did enjoy my stay and would go again.
1 Night Boutique Room and Outstanding Food .Thanks
Excellent modern accommodation , stylishly designed and finished. First class dinner and wine all with professional service. Excellent variety in addition standard cooked breakfast next morning.
We stayed at The County as we were attending a Christmas Party at Redworth Hall. The room was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, the facilities were of a high quality and the breakfast was delicious. Staff were very friendly and we are definitely going to return in the future even if just for a meal and drinks
Quiet relaxing area with pleasant views close to towns & places of interest. Superb clean warm rooms & bathroom, very comfortable beds. Attentive helpful staff, first class food & drink, but at a price higher than 'motel' type B & Bs.
No lift or facilities for disabled but building age would make this difficult to change.
We booked two double rooms for one night in September 2018. Booking was easy, and the hotel followed up with a query about whether we needed dinner. All staff were helpful and courteous. The rooms were at the top of the adjacent building. Both were in excellent condiiton, with comfortable beds, and absolutely scupulously clean. Breakfast was excellent - with excellent cooked choices often not found on standard hotel breakfast menu. We used this hotel as an overnight base before moving our daughter into Durham University and it was absolutely perfect.
I stayed here whilst away on business. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the accommodation was very comfortable. The guest house is in a separate building next to the restaurant which was good as it felt more like a hotel than a b and b. Not much to do in the immediate area but great if you just want a quiet night and close to the main roads.
