We didnt mind staying there, HOWEVER our room smelled horrible, there was food and bugs on the floor, old food in the microwave, sheets were stained and had several ciggerette burns, and our room was given to another couple within 10 minutes of being there. We spoke with the front desk about cancelling because of the poor conditions and they said to go through expedia for the full refund. We didnt want a full refund, we didnt mind paying for the night and a cancellation fee since the front desk was very helpful. However a couple days later Expedia reached out that the econo lodge was not going to honor any refunds becuase of the specific booking. If i thought i needed to get hotel booking insurance just for basic living conditions, i wouldve gotten it. But that wasnt the case.
