This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in .. very comfortable, very spacious ... lots of character ... Jim and Donna are perfect hosts - I cannot praise them highly enough .. the breakfast is freshly made, and superb .. If you want to see the Remington Museum, a stay at the Sheman Inn will make it a memorable experience

Perfect B&B experience!
We felt completely at home on our recent visit! The suite we stayed in (Roosevelt Suite) was so huge and comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, served at a table for six and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests and our hosts.

We were given a wonderful tour of the facility. Lots of History involved in the Sherman Inn. Magnificent decoration for the fall season and halloween. Very down to earth owners.

If you would like to spend your vacation in a beautifully restored old school house look no further. We only spent a night here but can't wait to come back. The rooms are massive, tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. All this and it comes with a home-cooked breakfast lovingly made by one of the owners. In the evening we sat around a charming campfire and chatted with other guests. We loved our stay here.

Unique historic converted schoolhouse. Extremely comfortable beds and the staff were very friendly and accommodating as we were a late check-in. Highly recommended and hope to return again for skiing!!!

Unique and wonderful property!
It was everything I expected from reading previous reviews. Welcoming, comfortable, clean, spacious rooms to sprawl out in. I couldn't have asked for more. The staff and owners were kind and gracious, the breakfast was DELICIOUS. You won't get a view of the river, but you get so much more. Just book it!

We have stayed here twice now and it is our go-to hotel whenever we're in the area. In fact, it is our favorite hotel of any we have ever stayed at anywhere. The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is amazing. I have no criticisms at all.

Comfy in Ogdensburg
We enjoyed our stay at this large yet cozy place. The rooms were very large, with lots of interesting things to enjoy. There were also comfortable common spaces and lots of local and American historical information. The rainy weather precluded use of the pool. We had a nice stroll to Buster's for a good dinner at the recommendation of the owner, and a great breakfast in the moring. Would definitely return.

The Inn is a historic building in Ogdensburg and has had a major renovation completed in order to give it a new life. The rooms are massive, the grounds and the pool are lovely and the owners are very attentive and helpful. The breakfast is amazing! A great place to stay.

I love the Sherman Inn!!! From the incredibly spacious and beautifully decorated themed rooms to the “make yourself at home” atmosphere, it’s always my go to when planning a trip to or around the Ogdensburg area. Breakfast is elegantly presented and always delicious. The Library is filled with all kinds of historical information about the area including scrapbooks and yearbooks. There are even some books written by James Reagen, the very knowledgeable co-owner of the Sherman Inn! There is also a gymnasium filled with a variety of toys and games sure to delight any child. The Sherman is so much more than a bed and breakfast, it’s an attraction in itself.
