The property is located 10.7 miles from Hwy 4 at the end of the Altoona Pillar Rock RD. You will experience solitude and privacy during your stay. The area is very rich in local history, Lewis and Clark, York, Sacajawea and the rest of the Corp of Discovery camped here in 1805 and documented in their journals they saw the ocean for the very first time. The property was an active commercial fishing and canning business for many years beginning in 1877.
From your cabin you will enjoy stunning views of the Columbia River, our beach, and Pillar Rock. You will also view commercial ship traffic as it passes by headed for destinations throughout the world. We share the property with abundant and diverse wildlife including deer and eagles.
Activities include touring the Pillar Rock Cannery, beach combing, sunbathing, swimming, fishing, and hiking our private nature trail. You are welcome to bring your own mountain bikes, wind surf boards and kayaks. Boat launch available for small boats and wave runners. Our sandy beach is great for the whole family. In the evening we have fire pits to toast marshmallows and view beautiful sunsets.
Your cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, the living room has a hideabed for extra guests. The cabin is completely stocked with all needed amenities including a washer and dryer and full size appliances.
This is truly our paradise and we would like to share it with you!
