Country home situated on nearly 100 acres with a flowing river running through property, hiking path and lots of wildlife, located approximately 25 miles from popular Wisconsin Dells. The retreat is minutes away from Cascade Mountain ski resort.
Home features three full size bedrooms along with a pull-out sofa and loveseat sleepers in the living room. Each bedroom includes a full-size bed, dressers, night stands, lamps, roomy closets and linens.
The full service kitchen includes seating for six, full size refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, dishes, along with pots and pans.
Washer and dryer located in basement.
Spacious living room includes lots of seating, large picture window view of river twisting through door yard, relaxing fireplace space heater, 32" color television and expandable dining room table.
Recently remodeled bathroom offers a ceramic tile bath/shower unit, new sink and towels. A rustic shower-only stall is also located in basement.

Perfect getaway for a weekend with friends!
We were looking for places to stay up near Cascade and Devils head for the weekend and stumbled across this gem. This place was amazing! About a 30 minute drive to Cascade and 50 minute drive to Devils head, making both perfectly manageable. Easy close access to grocery stores as well. The property itself had everything you could ask for in a getaway, cute stream running through, fireplace, charcoal grill, trails and more! Inside the house there was plenty of beds to sleep in, great VHS movie collection, nice stereo for music, and everything we needed in the kitchen. If you are looking for a nice weekend away from it all, or just a place to stay while you're skiing for the weekend, this is the perfect choice!

Just like I Remember
I grew up in an old farmhouse and this reminded me so much of that time. Wood floors with rugs and vhs tapes! The trails were fun to walk along and see the Fox river and have kids run out some energy. Then settle in for a night of games in the basement. Quite a unique stay and glad we found it for a relaxing new year stay while skiing at Cascade.

Do not stay here!!! The smell of mold, mildew, dust and that "old person" smell is sonover powering its hard to even breath. The house is cute and has potential but is so dated and unkept that is uncomfortable to be here.

Disgusting, stinks and no Host response. AVOID!
Upon arriving with my teenage niece we noticed pile of bed linens in the hallway. Opened door to bedroom 1 to discover no linens on bed and human hair and garbage in bedroom garbage can. Opened door to bedroom 2 to discover no linens on bed, piece of plastic covering up a nasty stained mattress, stained pillows without covers on a chair and garbage on floor. Opened door to bedroom 3 and no linens on bed, window open, hot and humid. Bathroom was the worst part, absolutely disgusting. Shower drain clogged with hair, soap scum and that nasty pink mold all over the shower. Sink lined with hair and dirt. Toilet had pee and poop stains all over from who knows how many previous occupants. Called the host, no answer. Decided to leave and get a hotel driving about 45 minutes at 9p at night. Sent host a message via the VRBO app. Vacation is done and still no response from host. Cell phone is a Michigan number. Guessing they are absentee hosts. Currently going through VRBO to get a refund. Also, it was 95 degrees and humid that day and upon arrival the lone window AC unit in the living room was OFF. The place smelled terrible like must, dust and mold. And while not a big deal but be aware the basement is just a dark, dank, dim, mold smell with a pool table. The only redeeming quality of this place is probably the outside,but we arrived near dark and had to leave so we never got to experience the outside. If I could upload pics I would but all I can say is AVOID.

3rd stay at the retreat
This is our 3rd time here as we love the property and area and had a wedding to attend. We werent home much, didnt venture into basement but spent our time outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Our cleaning girl arrived minutes after us on our first day there to finish up from previous tenants stay so we got to meet her and her sister while she tried, and eventually contacted, the property manager to ensure our stay dates on her calendar were correct.

On a farmstead, with a river running through it. Dream stay, especially for the 8 year old and teenager. Kitchen well stocked, including spices. Deer walking up to house and a snapping turtle passing house on the way to the river. Beautiful stay.

Great country home
We were just passing through the area and needed a place to sleep. We arrived in time to take a walk around the farm, saw wildlife, was very peaceful. The house had everything we needed, we enjoyed the stay.
