1. The unit that we stayed in was okay. I made a big mistake not reading the reviews. I assumed they had AC in Kauai, this unit has no AC, just loud fans to keep it bearable.
2. We arrived after dark and found the directions were wrong. My son spent at least 300 minutes hiking around the complex trying to find where 116a was located. Good way to start a trip.
3. Parking policy terrible. They give you 1 parking spot that I thought was no big deal. When we found our parking spot had a car parked there marked 116B. When we called Vacasa they said it is a shared and it's 1st come 1st served. We had to use an unmarked parking spot when not available. Those spots tend to be much further away from our unit.
4. When we 1st arrived we had a 10 digit door code. Out of the many times we used the door entry system, there was only 2 times that it worked on the 1st entry. We called and they said we may have to lift the door or move the handle around. It would sometimes require 5 or 6 tries before opening. They made 0 effort to get someone on site to fix it.
5.I was wondering why they waited so long to get me the unit information till the night before we arrived. Now I know.
6. We spent 5 nights in Maui and 5 nights in Kuaia. We had a wonderful time on both islands. The only negative was Vacasa Property Management. Will never rent a place that uses their services.
