The property smelled like weed with peeling paint everywhere. Staff were inattentive and took nearly ten minutes to come to the desk to check us in. Will not stay here again

This is a very old but once top of the line landmark property that has changed hands multiple times. You can tell that when it was last redone, they tried to make it feel upscale again. However, that now looks like it was a long time ago and the property has been subjected to a decade of spring break level wear and tear with no one doing any preventative maintenance or upkeep. Dirty floors in the elevators, backings rotting off mirrors, rusty light fixtures, calk around everything was yellowed. Sheers were missing. It just needs to be cared for. I get that the competition is stiff from eight newer properties. but this one could be the top priced if it was maintained. And I got in after midnight both nights and my key didn't work. one night I had to wait for a front desk person to return for 20 minutes. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

The Staff was amazing but the property is very old and it smells like smoke throughout. Once again, amazing staff and service but for a 2.5 star it needs a good renovation. We had to leave after 1 night. The gym is inoperable due to carpet being stored there. (July 2024)

The property sign was out causing the hotel to look abandoned. This should have been a hint of what was to come. The ice machine was out. There was no coffee maker or coffee available. And worse of all there was black mold in the bathroom. Never again!

I have traveled weekly for 45 years and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever experienced. It is seedy, the condition on the room was horrible, the room carpet was so filthy I couldn’t walk on it with bare feet, and it smelled. I also felt so unsafe that I immediately left the property and booked into another hotel in the area. I will be disputing this resv with Amex and want a total refund.
