Room was fine. The breakfast had good options but the food was old. The eggs were stuck to the pan, sausage and potatoes dry, omelette were broken apart. We went down to eat at 930 and the close time was 10. But that shouldn't mean we get stale and not fresh food. We also were billed double the charge but the morning staff was good and ordered a refund right away.

Good service, cleanliness needs work

Upon arrival, front desk was greatly helpful and pleasant to work with. The breakfast they have is pretty good and comparable to other Holiday Inns I've stayed at. The room itself was a nice size room, the thermostat is a bit confusing as i wasnt sure what to use for the temperature (a/c unit or wall unit). The bathroom was a good size and had plenty of soaps. The bad was that the floor still had hair from a previous customer, the shower wasnt the cleanest (could use some new caulking), the cieling had either a spigot or some type of fire suppressor that wasnt covered and the spackling wasnt the greatest. The stairs had a bit of a weird smell (used female hygiene products left in a bag). Overall, we had a good stay but needs just a little bit more attention to detail to get it better.

My favorite place to stay in Saginaw. Clean, professionally run, on a major artery with plenty of shopping and food. Also right off the ramp of a highway, so convenient to get to. Responsive staff who are courteous, and room is comfortable. They also pass the filter test: first thing I do when I walk into a hotel room is pull the air filter out of the air conditioner/heating unit. Easily, 7 out of 10 times the filter has not been cleaned in months. I pulled the filter out at this hotel, and it had been recently cleaned: no dust in the filter. That's a plus for me, as it reveals a level of thorough cleanliness.

Great front desk service

The front desk staff was AMAZING! She went above and beyond to accommodate our travel baseball team. As someone who stays in a different hotel every weekend in the summer this staff member was honestly the BEST we have ever had!

So so

We had to wait an hour or longer after the 3pm check in time then our key wouldn’t open the door so someone let us in then never came back with keys so I called desk then they changed us to a different room wand that was nice pool was to hot and hot tub was cold

Wonderful hotel, with wonderful staff!

This property is a very nice property to stay at. From the moment we walked through the door and met the young man working the desk we were made to feel welcome. This type of service is not seen very much these days. The room was well furnished, clean in all areas from top to bottom, including the exhaust and air returns. It shows that they take pride in this property. The only negatives that stood out, the sundry could be better stocked, and the elevator sounded like it could use a service call. Nothing bad about the function of it, just a few rattles here and there, that's all.

Although reserved 2 bed room in February, upon arrival, was told no rooms of my type available and had given to other reservations/check-ins. Manager did, after complaint and outlining reserving well before others, provided close to room type and was apologetic. Only other feedback is that there were no extra towels or pool towels available, being told that it was “laundry time” but seems like there should be extras available.

NEED CLEAN ROOMS

Overall it was a decent location. Great breakfast. They didn’t clean my room after the 1st nights stay. So bed wasn’t made, no fresh towels and trash not emptied. That’s why the lower rating. They did discount me 20% for the mistake.

Attention to details, please

I stay almost exclusively in IHG properties and they are usually reliable and comfortable. Management needs to attend to a few details: 1. Only decaf coffee and tea Keurig cups in the room. 2. When I went downstairs for breakfast both mornings, there was no brewed coffee. It turned out it was in the kitchen and had not been brought out. Several people gave up and left. 3. The hot water is very hot: only turn on the shower 1/4 turn and deal with low water pressure or it will scald you.
