I can’t review the areas mentioned. I paid in advance the full price of the room for my son who does not have a credit card. When he arrived he wasn’t permitted access because he didn’t have a credit card and they wouldn’t accept mine by phone. I’m writing to prevent someone from having the same issue as we were not aware you have to have a card in possession to check in. I did not receive any reimbursement for what I paid. Lesson learned.

Hotel was super convenient to Camp Pendleton North as well as downtown San Clemente. The beach was only a short drive and pub and small market within walking distance. King-sized bed was amazingly comfortable and hot tub was great! Definitely would stay again.

When I first got to the hotel, I found dirty napkins on the floor. Then I tried to use the safety deposit box and it didn’t work. I tried to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work. This is now 10 o’clock at night after driving two hours to the hotel and I had to go back down to talk to them and let them know that my phone wasn’t working. The next day they did replace my phone with the working one. But they did not replace the safe deposit box with one that was working. So I had to call them again and wait for them to come and get new box to be reset. Then I come out of the bathroom and I stepped on this screw that is pushing out of the threshold and I hurt myself so badly that I could not walk. It broke Skin and I had to get a tetanus shot and when I asked the manager about this, he said to me “why was this not a problem two days ago?”Ugh!

It was clean and it served our overnight stay, but nothing to brag about. The property was clean but had a funky cleaner smell I didn't recognize. It had a nice continental breakfast and ample parking in the back. We had an unpleasant view of the parking lot and the bathroom though clean was a little dated. I would stay again if I was on a tight budget.

Upon arrival I was happy they let me have an early check in, I appreciated that. Once in the room there was an odor that smelled like old cigarettes, everything looked dingy, the plumbing was loose at the shower handle, around the hallway door and the balcony door there were large gaps so noise traveled through easily. They did not clean the room after the first day they only gave me one new towel and dumped the trash. For the price of the room I’d expect a little better quality.
