The rooms are very nice with indoor fireplaces and patios. However, for the nightly rate, which for a weekend was nearly a grand, I expected a better experience. I wish it was initially mentioned when I called and asked about the pet policy for cats that they could not be left unattended in the room. I found this out by luckily seeing the fine print on the website two days before the trip. It was unfortunate because I only picked this spot because it was the only place that accepted cats. Now that I couldn't bring them, I realized I could have gone anywhere for half the cost. The daily breakfast is nice although it's not anything special. They let you communicate through someone over text during your stay so that was helpful, so I don't have to keep bothering the front desk. However, after one night we requested housekeeping services and got confirmation that we would get it. Left for the day to do some tours and got back to the bed still being unmade and trash was still full. Normally I wouldn't be too upset about it but again the entire weekend I was thinking about how expensive this place is, and no housekeeping is crazy. I texted the hotel number and explained that they did not come by, and I got no response. Strange because up until this point they were very responsive. When checking out I mentioned this and they offered me $50 off for the mishap which was nice, but overall, I just thought the entire stay was too overpriced for the entire experience.

Perfect location for beach and boardwalk hikes. In addition to visiting Cambria bakeries and restaurants. Also conveniently located for visits to San Luis Obispo and San Simeon.

Charming Hotel in Cambria, CA

Really special hotel right across the street from Moonstone Beach. Very cozy room with fireplace, mini-frig, and very nice tile bathroom. Two conversation areas out front with glass to protect from ocean wind and gas fire pits when it gets cold. Lastly, wonderful breakfast choices delivered in a basket outside your door. We'll be back!

Romantic, quiet getaway

We had a very nice stay here. The grounds were beautiful and included fire pits, a pool, and jacuzzi. Free breakfast was served daily picnic-style and the lobby had great coffee. The room we stayed in was nice as well. The bathrooms could use small upgrades including a new shower head. Overall, really lovely, romantic, and quiet. We would stay there again!

The bed moves when you lean on it which I think is a safety issue. The basket breakfast is nice and unique but with COVID-19 not a good idea unless they sanitize the basket after each use.

Perfect location on Moonstone beach. Boardwalk right there and close to Cambria. Only negative was our room backed up to an area with a loud generator type fan that ran all night so we had to keep the windows closed.

This property is so adorable and I am wishing I were there right now! Our room had two queens and enough space that we were able to be comfortable with two adults and our two adult kids. We were there at a warmer time of year, but there is a fireplace in the room and I imagine that is super cozy on chillier days. This hotel is right across the street from Moonstone Beach and waking up to an easy beach walk was the start to a perfect day. This is a small property and they take breakfast orders in advance and Deliver your breakfast in a cute little picnic basket to a hanger outside your door. We checked in late and they actually texted me and gave me our breakfast options so they could be sure to have breakfast for us in the morning. Coffee and tea can be made in the room so you really can get up and hit the beach without leaving the property for any reason. I really appreciate that they took the time to get our breakfast order because it made the day so much nicer. I will definitely be back to this beautiful beach and this adorable property!
