I would give this experience top stars except for one reason. Our room keys did not work , not once, not twice but three times. The last time made me late for the dinner reservation i made for my wife’s birthday at the steak house because i had to wait in the hallway for a technician to let me in my room. The manager knew this was a problem but chose not to make things right with some sort of amend making gesture. Poor decision making thus not a top ranking.

Chumash Hotel
Pool was advertised as heated but was very cold. Pool bar was closed and there were no water stations. I even called the hotel to make sure the pool would be open since they emailed regarding pool maintenance after I booked and none of this was mentioned. Room was newer and clean. Mattresses were ok.

Poolside hangout can be better
Free valet parking even if you’re not staying in their rooms is already a plus side! Room is big and clean. Surprisingly, the pool is quiet for an August Sunday afternoon. It was very relaxing to be at poolside. We only wish that the pool bar and resto is open late. Pool bar and resto closes at 5 pm but they do have the convenience store where you can buy beer, bottled juice and snacks.
