Heater made lot of noise so couldn't sleep with it on....had to turn it off despite room being very cold..staff a reception during checkin very friendly and professional. Also when came to room, sink was not draining. Guy did come after reporting to fix it. Overall money paid…i would rate it very poor.

We arrived a little after 3pm. Room wasn’t ready until 4:15pm. One of the bedside lamps and the clock/radio were unplugged. The heater was very noisy and the temperature inside the room never reached the set level. We were informed that there is no housekeeping service for two-day stays, but that we could request trash take out or a change of towels. On check-out day, while making sure nothing was left behind, we opened one of the drawers and saw a pair of jeans. They weren’t ours, so we assumed they belong to the previous occupants of the room. The fact that they weren’t removed before we were given the room raised concerns as to how well the room was cleaned. We brought this concern to the staff when we checked out, all she said was she will inform housekeeping. We told her that we left the jeans where we saw them. Later in the evening, we got a call from the hotel saying that we left a pair of jeans behind and asking us what we wanted to do with them. We explained again. Again no apologies. We were told that whoever we reported the problem to earlier didn’t make a note of it.

A convenient, no frills, hotel within walking distance of Solvang’s Main Street, this place is super dog friendly. The V Lounge, connected to the lobby, offers a cozy spot for drinks and small bites. While the staff are friendly and attentive, the hotel itself could benefit from some updates. The Alma Rosa suite, in particular, appears a bit outdated and would benefit from additional remodeling. Free underground parking is a plus.

Ok stay, they have a bar not a resturant.
We’ve stayed here before, and it’s a nice spot located on the main stretch in Solvang. Our most recent visit was on Christmas, so prices were inflated—as was the case with most places in the area. The overall quality is fine. The room was spacious and comfortable, but some details missed the mark. For example, the bathroom towels were thin and well-worn, and there were no extras like robes or slippers. Amenities were minimal, with a basic coffee machine, a tiny ancient microwave and mini fridge provided in the room. Our main issue was with the hotel lounge/restaurant. Upon arrival, we asked the receptionist about dining options for Christmas. We were told their lounge was open and served food, which sounded great. After exploring the area, we returned later to find the lounge more of a bar offering limited finger food rather than a full dining experience. The lounge was packed since most local restaurants were closed, and it was clear they were unprepared for the holiday crowd. There was only one overwhelmed waitress and a single person preparing food. They quickly ran out of most items, and the wait for what little was available (we ended up with bread and a kids’ meal of chicken nuggets) took about 90 minutes. We were tired, hungry, and had no other options. To make matters worse, the cost was outrageous: $100 for a couple of drinks and basic bar food. While we should have planned ahead, the hotel could have done the same given the holiday demand.

Great location, very walkable to and from the shops and eateries, but is not in the middle of it all. So, we mostly avoided the traffic. Clean, spacious rooms. Very friendly front desk. Free coffee (and tea) 24 hours at the lobby. We stayed for 3 nights and were always worried about running out of parking spots. But we always found something. We were told that if we didn't, we could park on the street just out front or even the 15-minute (or was it 5? I forget now) spaces within the property. We didn't have to use either one. The only baffling thing was that there was no ring towel by the sink. So, we didn't have anything to hang the hand towel on.

Stopped in early knowing my room wouldn’t be ready. Got the pre check in done. Came back at check in to be told my room still wasn’t ready. Wouldn’t have been a big deal except we had dinner reservations early as it was Christmas Eve and needed a room to get ready. Once in the room it was fantastic!

Front desk staff were AMAZING. It was very busy and they were the epitome of grace under fire. The rooms were clean. Great parking, close to town. We walked everywhere. The rooms were NOT quiet. Housekeeping staff and hotel guests were loud in the hallways.Screaming children and barking dogs at all hours. You can hear doors and drawers slamming. I will not return to this hotel due to lack of quiet.
