Your four-legged family members will love running on the beach, or playing with other dogs at the Sea Ranch Dog Park located on the east side of Sea Ranch.

With the provided amenities passes, guests will have access to all three rec centers in Sea Ranch featuring amenities like pools and tennis courts. Just a little over a mile away, schedule a tee time at the Sea Ranch Golf Links for sunny days on the greens, or spend the afternoon in Gualala where you will discover art galleries and great local eateries like Trinks Cafe & Bakery and the Crab Shack, only two-and-a-half miles north. Beyond the adventures in the city streets or at sea, Sea Ranch offers a family-friendly environment to relax and get away from it all.

The views from the home are fantastic. The house itself needs some TLC. Fire Place did not work. Doors are sticky. One of the burners doesn’t work. Overall the view is awesome and you can make do with the amenities.

House and location amazing the kitchen is fully stocked only recommendation would be the house needs some minor maintenance screen door to the upstairs deck doesn’t move and there’s holes in it. One of the shades in the master bedroom cannot be rolled up and one of the lights by the bed stand doesn’t work, lastly the temperature readings on the stove top have been rubbed off, so it was difficult to use the stove but the house and location are absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time. I will definitely be back.

Location!
Great location, close to Gualala, Sea Ranch golf links, and of course the ocean!! Careful with the electric stove as the dials are worn off so you can't see the heat setting and can easily overcook or burn your meal. Also, the couch cushions are well past their prime so using the many throw pillows under your bum is helpful otherwise you will sink so low, you may never get up. These are minor items to note, the home overall is super duper and the property management folks are great, very clean when we arrived, plus a fully stocked kitchen.

Sea Ranch bluff house
This home is in a great location, right by the bluff. You have views from the living room and the main bedroom. The home was spacious for our family, including a small dog. The kitchen is well stocked, but overall the place can use a little TLC. One feature that was important to us was using the deck seating area off the main living room. Unfortunately, the sliding door was broken and there was no access - we were not told in advanced. The bedroom fireplace - the only source of heating - was out of order and it got very cold. The dishwasher was not working; very inconvenient . The lights in the garage were all broken, this made it difficult to pack/unpack and come in at night. We communicated these issues directly with the local Vacasa office and via email but nobody came to fix them. Considering the maintenance fees and the price of the unit, we expected better service.

Winter Break at the Cove
Our family enjoyed the beautiful views of the ocean in this cozy and warm home. The seals were jumping in and out of the water having the time of their lives. The trails right outside the door were a breath of fresh air. We all enjoyed this home and getaway. Our only complaints are with the management not the home or location. For a vacation property manager they should actually be checking in on these homes and not just flipping a cleaning service between guests. They should leave parking passes, etc for guests in the home instead of driving miles up the road to pick them out of an unsecured pile in a random box outside their office door. They also sent someone to check on a door repair without giving us notice, which not only disturbed us, but was uncomfortable walking out to a random man in our rental while in a bikini from enjoying the hot tub. All things we can “deal” with but shouldn’t have to.

We wanted to just sit and look at the ocean… from this spot we saw the ocean and birds and whales and a very short walk to the cliff trail we saw seals and pelicans Oh my Gosh too much to share…just heavenly trip…great home‼️

An extraordinary experience!
With very few exceptions, we have rented homes each summer in the greater Sea Ranch/Gualala area since the mid 1980s. [We have had few negative experiences--after all, we are in paradise! ;-)] This home was special. Perfect for our adult family--capacity to create amazing meals in such a well stocked kitchen-- and great amenities of pool, hiking trails, all of it. Though expensive and entering a possible recession, we ar grateful we pulled this off.

Neither of the two fireplaces at this property worked. The bedroom one had a large, laminated sign saying “ out of order” so it appears this has been inoperative a long time . When we discovered that the one in the living room didn’t work either, we repeatedly phoned the local office but no-one answered. Our call to the National VRbO office promised help from the local office but we never heard from anyone. Seems like a lot of deferred maintenance at this property : light bulbs out, oven door that wouldn’t close etc. Was also surprised as to the insufficiency of towels. Only one bath towel provided per person. All of those complaints aside, the house has a nice view and the hot tub did work.

Incredible location, lovely home
Hard to beat the gorgeous views from this home at Del Mar Point. Easy access to bluff trail and beauty of the area— great home base for exploring. Highlights of the home— spacious master bedroom; great hot tub; nice layout (with bedrooms down stairs and living room, kitchen upstairs); very clean throughout and nice bedding, towels. Wish we didn’t have to leave! We’ll be back.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
This place is an enigma. A quick internet search indicates that the house was last sold in January 2018 for just over a million bucks, yet there are no reviews of the property as a rental. All the photos of the home at the time of sale depict the house exactly as it is today, including the furniture and decorative pillows. First the good. The location is great, just a few steps from the Bluff Trail, beautiful water views from many rooms. Vacasa, the property manager, is responsive and accommodating. The kitchen is very well stocked with nice pots and pans and utensils and associated supplies. The owner-supplied candles and lighter are a lovely touch. The soaking tub in the master bath and the hot tub on the patio are top notch. The use of the garage is definitely a bonus. And of course the pet-friendly status kept our family together on this getaway. Next, the not-so-good aspects. During our stay we found the light switches throughout the house sometimes worked, often did not, or worked weirdly (garbage disposal switch works only when the switch is half way between on and off). A faulty kitchen faucet sprayed water over the backsplash every time we turned it on. The top of the refrigerator was filthy with grime and dust balls. Several pieces of baseboard were missing where they interface with improvements. The utility closet had a powerful odor and was being used as storage for an old mattress. The aluminum sliding door and screen to the upper deck as well as some of the windows were very old and difficult to operate. Two of the three toilet seats are old and missing some hardware. The bed linens were cheap and scratchy. The gas fireplace in the master bedroom did not work as promised. When called, Vacasa promptly sent a maintenance person who “fixed it” and left, but shortly thereafter the carbon monoxide alarms started screaming with a digital readout of 999 because (as we later learned at the second maintenance call) the stove was missing a part and venting gas directly into the bedroom. There were a couple used broiling pans with old fat and bits of meat in the garage utility sink. We visit Sea Ranch three to four times a year, always with our dog, and have had rentals that vary between okay and fabulous. This place is borderline okay; could be fabulous if the owner and Vacasa are able to get their act together. Sadly, until such time, we’ll be renting elsewhere.
