Take in the fresh forest air at 'The Dancing Bear' a beautiful vacation rental cabin nestled beside Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home accommodates up to 10, and features cozy cabin-themed decor, an open floor plan and wireless internet. Enjoy nature from the multi-person outdoor jacuzzi, sip some coffee on one of the swings of the wrap-around porch, head inside for a lively game of pool, and ultimately, have a vacation to remember at this fantastic cabin.

This is a 3 story Cabin and each floor has its own Bedroom and Bathroom and living room.

This cabin features 2,200 square feet of beautifully decorated living space. The spacious upstairs living room loft includes a giant A-frame window, two cozy couches, and wooden flooring and walls, granting the space a bright yet homey feel.

In the downstairs living room, there is a plush leather couch, a stone wood-burning fireplace, and a large cable flat screen HD TV. The room also has high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and plenty of natural light, helping to bring the feeling of the forest into the space.

The roomy kitchen features a kitchen island, bar seating, and plenty of counter space to prepare your home-cooked meals. The kitchen is also equipped with a full range of appliances, including a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, and a 4-burner electric stove with an oven.

Just steps from the kitchen is a dining nook with a table set for 6, and a giant window, so you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with mountain views.

Each bedroom comes complete with a cable HD TV, wooden dressers, and plenty of closet space. The heads of the household will likely be the ones enjoying one of the bedrooms with the jacuzzi tub, perfectly situated beneath a beautiful painted glass window.

On the lower level of a cabin, there is a full-sized pool table complete with multiple cues, so you can challenge your travel companions into the late hours of the night.

When you’re ready for some fresh air and marvelous mountain views, step out onto two levels of wrap-around porch to enjoy the forest views from the hot tub or the multiple porch swings.

Travel just 20 additional minutes and find yourself in Gatlinburg, with its wide array of fine dining, retail outlets, and venues. Pigeon Forge is also just minutes away, and is the home of Dollywood, which is Dolly Parton's Appalachian-themed park with great entertainment and rides for everyone to enjoy.

Home away from home

We had a wonderful week at the VRBO mountain house. You could stand on the porch and see the mountains, deer (no bears...thank goodness). Everything in the house worked well, house was clean and the owner was very prompt in responding to requests. I'm glad everything that was described was legitimate.

Saddest thing having to leave

So mad at myself for booking wrong, I was so sad to not get one more day.. The place is absolutely beautiful. The location was amazing and plenty to do all around. We felt so at home and would def book this rental over and over again. My husband & I, MIL, & 4 children and plenty of room. The game room was a big hit with the kids gave them something to do when we weren’t out and about… Even had board games to play.

My family enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was nice to have different floors for family members to sleep and get ready each day! It was a peaceful place to come back to after being out all day! The owner was super helpful when we had questions about the grill and other things in the home! I would recommend staying in this home!

Very nice cabin wasnt the cleanest house on arrival but the owner said we was the first person there for the year. 2 of the 3 arcade games didn't work. Outside plugs didn't work for the grill. But very happy with the house and seemed like a very nice owner

The interior pictures of the cabin are bright and airy and the exterior pictures lead you to believe the cabin is tucked away on a hillside high in the mountains. The interior was actually dark and the decor was dated with all manner of taxidermy and 1980s wallpaper. The cabin is located in a pod of 3 cabins, at the bottom of a steep driveway with just enough room for two cars and not on a mountaintop overlooking the valley. Be aware that you enter and exit the cabin through the master bedroom which is not for the bashful. This cabin is in Wears Valley, about a 20-30 minute drive over a mountain in either direction to activities in Pigeon Forge or Townsend. The cabin was okay, just average, and not what we’re accustomed to at the price we paid.

Outstanding Time at Dancing Bear

We just got home from one of the best weeks we have ever spent as a family. Dancing Bear Cabin was perfect for us. It was on 3 levels and allowed kids and adults to interact without disturbing others. The games were so much fun and the porches were relaxing. We were able to save $'s by cooking most of our own meals. It was a trip of a lifetime for our family.

Great time in pigeon forge

Nice retreat with easy access to lots of fun: hiking shows rides etc. Definitely try Goats on the Roof. Great hot tub, super comfy. Fun game room enjoyed by all. Kids were surprised by the taxidermy 😉

Beautiful cabin and great views!

The cabin was a great fit for our family. Our kids had their own space, but the house also provided opportunity for some great pool and video game battles. The kitchen was full supplied with everything we needed to cook multiple meals per day. We got lots of use out of the dishwasher! The view was gorgeous. We started our mornings on the porch swinging enjoying the view, and our nights ended looking at the stars while in the hot tub. House had everything and more!than we had hope for. Highly recommend for families. We will definitely be staying there again. Owners were great to work with and very responsive. Really appreciate the phone call explaining how to get to the cabin. Also the welcome guide in the house provided some great recommendations for the dinners we ate out. If you thinking about renting a cabin, don’t pass this one up!!!

COZY & COMFORTABLE

Beautiful decorated cabin nestled in a quiet cove with another cabin and a lodge. Driveway and parking area into cove were no problem. Driveway down to “Dancing Bear” cabin is extremely steep but we had no problem in an SUV. Location and proximity to attractions and Pigeon Forge were great. Roads were well paved and easily traveled. Family throughly enjoyed the game room and pool table every night. Bedrooms with private baths on each floor allowed for separate and quiet times after each busy day. Full size washer and dryer were an added bonus and certainly speeded up the process. Wrap around porches with rockers or swings were on each level with pretty views. Our family had a wonderful time and plan to return each year.

Family Fall Trip

This was my 1st time using VRBO, and it was an EXCELLENT experience!!! This cabin surpassed all my expectations!!! The pictures don’t do it the justice it deserves!!! I LOVE that it is tucked away from all the crazy loud touristy areas…but close enough to get to anything you want! The cabin was GORGEOUS and super clean! Bill was available at anytime and checked in to make sure we were happy! I 10 out of 10 HIGHLY suggest this place if you are looking for an awesome cabin experience!!

FAMILY SUMMER VACATION

The property is beautiful. Be aware, that the driveway is very steep, and would definitely not do more than 2 cars. The house slept 7 of us very comfortably, and it does have a pull out in the living room. The owner was very responsive, and I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location!

This cabin was in the perfect location for our vacation, centered in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go with easy access to Cades Cove, Gatlinburg & Sevierville for my father-in-laws medical appointments. We were able to use some back roads to bypass the traffic on 441, and really allowed us to maximize our time. Cabin was comfortable, and we enjoyed having all of our own spaces to wind down after being together all day. I personally loved the porch swing for morning coffee and conversation with the early risers in the family. As others have noted, the driveway is steep, but knowing this we were prepared. We found backing out was easier than backing down the driveway, and we had enough space for our full size SUV and sedan. You can park 3, but no more than that. Two vehicles are really ideal. The trickiest part though was the cabin uphill from us had 7 vehicles, and they weren't always considerate of keeping the shared driveway clear. Definitely keeping this cabin on the short list for future trips.

The Dancing Bear Cabin

My husband and I travel to TN every year for Spring Break with our kids. The Dancing Bear Cabin had SO much space. The kids got their own “floor”. And it wasn’t a far drive from the main road in Pigeon Forge. We did have the brush fires going on but it was across from where we were. The Owners were very commutative with us about the fire for our safety. Overall a wonderful family vacation. Will be recommending to others and booking again!
