Cute, updated 7th floor studio on the north side of beachfront condo complex The Florence.
A new cooling memory foam queen bed with nice cotton sheets & queen pull out will sleep 4. Fully equipped kitchen makes staying in and cooking a breeze. Plenty of soft towels and beach towels are supplied for our guests. The condo has a 50" TV with Blu-Ray, cable and Showtime and high speed WiFi. linens & beach chairs, umbrella & cooler. Steps to the beach. The balcony has a side ocean view! Pool & hot tub!
We are located toward the north part of the island between Clayton's and Wanna Wanna. Walking distance to many places but away from the noise and crowds.
The island has a free Metro bus that picks up right in front of the building and runs until 9:00 PM.
Pet friendly. Pet fee and Pet Agreement required.

Spring Break: Spring Break age requirement is 21, everyone staying must be at least 21 unless they are with their parents. No exceptions.
Security Dates: $25 ID Wristbands are required for each guest over the age of 10 during the following times: Spring Break Texas week, Easter weekend, Samana Santa, and Independence Day Holiday weekend. Please reach out for current security dates if you are booking around these dates. This cost pays for security that is hired during these times.

Day of check in Owner decided to reach out to us after 3:30 to notify room had not been cleaned when check in was at 3 she told my husband take our girls to swimming pool while they cleaned room, we asked if we could get another room said she didn’t have any other rooms was super rude and unprofessional about the situation not understanding we drove 5 hrs in she also sent us door lock code and contract after 5 have our conversation all in recording ,sweating in hallway while they cleaned room such B.S we have rented plenty rooms and this by far the worse customer service we encountered would not recommend and if you do make sure she sends lock code & contract before check with a clean room

Great location

First the view is way better than the picture online You could use a small table on balcony to enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink Parking is good also plenty of it across street Nice manicure grass area by the parking lot across from building for our doggie to do her business Even though the room and building needs some TLC room& pool area very clean Friendly people location is very good walking distance to everything if you want to walk Host/owner very quick to answer questions Room very well stocked and plenty of towels Bed is not the most comfortable Building /neighborhood very quiet which is a plus since my husband is a light sleeper This room suited our needs for us two and our doggie

We had family staying a few blocks down the road in another condo so we spent most of our time with them at their beach. The little condo was just what we needed since we wouldn't be spending much time inside. We would absolutely rent again.

Convenient Location

Convenient location The location was perfect for the activities we had planned. The area was quiet and very safe. There is a parking attendant monitoring parking, which I appreciated. The room was small, but perfect for two adults. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The building provides beach access, which was convenient.

First retirement experience

We booked through VRBO for a 4 week stay and didn't know what to expect. The condo was exactly as we anticipated and conveniently located to the beach and bus. We appreciated the larger refrigerator which we took for granted until we saw where our friends stayed and they didn't have a full size refrigerator. We made the majority of our breakfasts at the condo, which was stocked with all the essentials. The condo is conveniently located for walking the beach to restaurants or for a bloody mary morning. We also enjoyed (many times) the convenience of Kelly's Irish Pub just one block away.

Room is small, and bed linens appear to have not been changed as they are the same as in picture, which means they have not been changed for couple of years. Furniture appears worn-out especially coffee table and needs to be replaced. Bathroom sink clogs and did not get fixed even after reporting it to the owner.

Cozy little place with a beach view!

This little unit fit all of our needs! Right on the beach with direct access! Only downside was all the the construction going on in the building, which was to have been completed 2 weeks ago so not owners fault. Walkable to several bars and a little store. Great cozy place for the $. But more than a couple Would be a crowd.

Very comfortable, everything we needed.

My husband I spent 7 nights at 701 Florence. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and utensils. Wifi is great. Bathroom well appointed; great linens. Very short walk to the beach. The area seems very safe. The location is close to grocery stores and plenty of places to eat. The weather was not the best the week we were there, but we had board games and books to read. It was a good week. Would stay again.

The Perfect getaway location

My wife and I stayed here three night. No complaints. Clean, cozy, comfortable, and complete with a great balcony view. It’s on the top floor, so if you’re looking to work off some of the vacation calories, take the stairs!

The little unit had everything we needed and was a great location on the island. Nice view!

We were unlucky with the weather, having driven from Oregon, but were glad for clean and well situated and well supplied unit. We could see the ocean and noth part of island from our balcony and enjoyed the jacuzzi esp because of the cold weather.

Cute and cozy with ocean views!

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at this property for our spring vacation. Instead of hitting the resorts during spring break (we're in our 30s and were not quite looking for the spring break experience!), we decided to take a chance on a condo rental. We didn't really know what to expect, but the pictures and description were just what we were looking for, so we booked it. The condo is adorable, and Laura and Judy provided most things that one would need for a beach vacation...even nice beach towels, which would have saved me some space in my suitcase had I read carefully! There are plenty of dishes and pans for cooking, a full sized refrigerator, microwave, oven, and even a coffee maker. The little couch was nice so there was an option besides sitting in bed all day, and there is a nice view of the ocean from the balcony. There is a small pool and hot tub on the property but not accessible to the public, and they were clean and never too crowded. The building was quiet and seemed well maintained. The elevator was a bit slow but, really, what's the rush? The view from the 7th floor was just lovely. I had to contact Laura twice, once about the shuttle and once about the door lock (I couldn't figure it out). She answered right away, was gracious and helpful, and invited me to call again if I needed anything else. I appreciated her patience very much. If I had to list a con...well, the Wi-Fi connection is pretty dismal. No reflection on the property or our experience, and I would imagine it's due to being on an island, but expect to use more data than usual if your plan is set up that way. I would (will!) stay here and I recommend it to anyone who doesn't need too much space but wants a beautiful place to stay after hitting South Padre Island for some much needed sun. THANK YOU to Laura and Judy for their hospitality and helping to make our vacation amazing. We'll be back!
