THINGS TO KNOW
Wristband fee is required in March for anyone over the age of 10 and under the age of 35. All wristbands must be purchased in advance of your arrival. Checks must be made payable to the appropriate HOA. Plan accordingly, as no one can enter the building without a wristband.
There is an elevator in the building.

NO PARTY POLICY: This home maintains a strict no-party and no-spring break policy. Our local South Padre Island team monitors compliance with our rental policies and responds promptly to any complaints from neighbors. If any guests are found to violate these rental policies, it will result in eviction without a refund. I read reviews before I stay somewhere. This property makes me question if negative reviews are deleted from this site. The positives of this property were that the condo was cute, clean and conveniently located. The view of the bay from the balcony was nice. The condo was equipt with everything you need to cook. Here are the negatives. The property is on the first floor. Parking is on the ground level. We could not sit outside the first two days because of the dead fish smell in the dumpster just below. The condo bedrooms have virtually zero air flow. The AC worked in the living room but not the bedrooms. This is obviously a known issue because there were box fans in the closet. Only one of the three box fans worked. I contacted the agency and they sent someone out. The management stated the AC was fixed. It indeed was not. The master shower is pretty dingy. The halls leading to the condo are dirty, smelly and almost sketchy looking. In reading the reviews of previous guests, I found it odd that there was not one complaint about the AC not flowing in the bedroom. This makes me wonder if negative reviews are deleted. I don't expect perfection in a place. But as expensive as it is to stay here, I would expect an AC that works properly in the summer time. We left a day early.

Fun while the weather lasted
This was a gorgeous condo! The amenities were also nice. However I did almost fall through the top floor as the weather shifted the new floor must have not set right, I just wanted a photo. Due to the historical storm we had to book a room at a hotel that did not have power or water, nor did most of the island. Our pipes burst. $170-$200 worth of groceries rot. This is by no means the owners fault. We also had to purchase sleeping bags to try to stay warm the condo got down to 43 degrees. Vacasa had said to send in receipts to resolve this and I have not heard yet from them. We are more disappointed in lack of communication to remedy this stay.

Location and view were excellent. Price/value was very fair. No complaints at all. Couple suggestions for on-site Vacasa/VRBO managers.. -pool and dock lock area combo numbers provided to me were incorrect (talked other renters in other units into giving us current numbers. so we could use pool) -entrance lock-box modestly confusing... as there are 2 of them, and only one is for renters, PLUS the buttons are NOT intuitive, so providing more specific details on "how to get in" would be most helpful (like us,...travellers often arrive in the dark and after a long day, so making it easier is nicer). Suggest adeding "which lock box, after entereing code, push one more button to open, etc." -I travel and rent a lot, ...and I would strongly suggest that small condiments as well as a coffee filter (washable or otherwise) be left. I arrived late (stores were closed), bought my own coffee, sweetener, and cream at a gas station but woke up in AM to find I had to go to store yet again to get filter. Annoying first AM that could have gone easier with no costs. I left 45 single use filters and some non-degradable condiments, etc. for next guests....and hope the pay-it -forward trend for guests continues.
