Next to the airport but quiet and bed comfy

Pros: Quiet, good location
Cons: The rooms were in a separate building to bar and restaurant so if raining, would get wet so a covered section between buildings would be good.
Location: On perimeter of airport on outskirts of Southend. Southend has a nice esplanade and the pier is fab.
Hotel has been updated since last stayed there and rooms were quiet and comfortable. It was very busy with a wedding but we didn't hear the noise when in our room. Very convenient for us as near to family event. It is not far from Southend and although not the best hotel I've stayed in, I would certainly use again. Can't comment on staff as didn't see them except for checking in and out but polite and efficient then.

Great out of town hotel

Location: Easy to find and plenty of parking spaces. Lots of local shops nearby including a large supermarket about 1 mile away.
This is a strange hotel in some ways . It feels very isolated but this means that parking is really easy. It is very very clean , the rooms are huge with air conditioning and free Wifi. I was here on business so did not get to the seafront but I estimate it is about 3 miles from the sea. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and would stay here again and recommend it to my colleagues.
