The pool was closed for maintenance. Due to recent flooding, no hot breakfast. Lamp shade in bedroom was broken. There was a dripping showerhead or faucet in the bathroom. Everything was very clean.

Flooded out hotel

The hotel had been completely flooded out. It would have helped if the property managers would have notified their corporate office that way people didn't have the option of booking a hotel just to find out that it was closed with no power.

Upon entering the building guests are hit by the overwhelming odor that seems to be part chronic mold and part outhouse. The jacuzzi had no functioning jets and was basically a lukewarm bathtub.

We were supposed to stay 3 nights and ended up staying 2 and checking out early. The hot tub worked but was warm and could've used a cleaning. We went down for breakfast Saturday and Sunday at around 8am and the only thing left was waffles and other make yourself items. Sunday morning i asked the front desk clerk if there was any more biscuits and sausage gravy and she said there was no more left, which was odd since it was still early. Next time we make a trip to Iowa we will just pay more money to stay somewhere with better and cleaner amenities.

Overall the hotel was okay. Lori (the night desk worker) was amazing, so helpful, polite, and understanding. The room was a decent size, and clean for the most part. There was a mildew-ish smell but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. As a heads up, I was supposed to pay at the property and a few hours before I arrived a staff member called and let me know if I didn’t pay immediately over the phone they would not guarantee my rooms being available. I had never experienced this before when booking through Expedia, and support was able to help me out. But be aware of that policy when booking
