False advertising with payment arrangement
My first impression of la Quinta was not good. On hotels.com I chose the option to pay at the location when I arrived. However I noticed that the hotel kept running my card to pay for the room MULTIPLE HOURS BEFORE I EVEN ARRIVED. Because my card wasn’t in travel mode yet, my card kept declining it. I noticed that the tried to run my card over three times. I called and explained that I did the option to pay at the hotel. The front desk staff said they don’t do that and I needed to pay now over the phone if they will give my room away. I had placed this trip months in advanced and was worried they were going to give my room away. I ended up giving my credit card number over the phone which made me very uncomfortable because of the lack of security this offers. I was not happy with doing this at all and honestly really gave me a bad impression with the la Quinta hotel chain.
