Highly recommended

Perfect stay and location for the airport. Walking distance, clean, spacious, modem and a good breakfast selection which included vegetarian sausages which can be a rarity. Highly recommended if you can afford it as its not the cheapest option in the vicinity

Poor check in

Check in process poor. Given key which didn’t work, then key reset only to find someone already in the room. Then challenged as to who we were, despite having checked in 20mins before. Whole process meant we missed the train we had planned to take..

Double check bed linen before jumping into bed

I have stayed in this hotel a few times before. This time, they sent me to a room where the bed had been done but the bed linen hadn't been changed. When I notified them, they moved me to a different room. However, it was the same thing again; done bed and dirty bed linen. Further, neither the table nor the tea mug had been cleaned. There were lipstick marks on the tea mug. Btw, I arrived shortly after 1am. The check-in staff was friendly, and the hotel later gave me a 37pound refund perhaps as compensation for the inconvenience. However, I scored this hotel low on every dimension to avoid neutralising its apparently deteriorating cleaning standards.

Good location for early morning flights - if your airline had advised that overnight the departure time has been changed to a later time, it would have given one a bit more time to kip at the hotel! Not the hotel’s fault.

Hampton stay

Our room was very hot the aircon was bearly working called reception and was told they would give the room control but nothing happened. Due to being near the airport you can’t open the windows. We didn’t get much sleep. On the plus side the bar was brilliant and the pizza is fantastic.
