This is the 2nd best western hotel I stayed during this trip. Again, best western gave me unpleasant experience for this stay. The room is severely overpriced! The room is small, and the furnishings are in poor quality. We were first assigned to the room with dysfunctional fan making squeaky noise constantly in the bathroom. After we made complaints, we were assigned to a different room. We had to move and resettle after a tiring trip.

Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, nice big room, nice laundry, big windows that opened, nice pool and hot tub. We arrived on amtrak and it was an easy mile or more walk. No hotel shuttle. Restaurants were all near the train, so another mile walk. We ordered piza delivery. There were frozen microwave dinners available to purchase at the hotel.

Great location to visit Stowe and Waterbury
My daughter and I flew into Boston for a Fall Foliage trip. We drove to the area to visit the beautiful, quaint town of Stowe, Vermont. This hotel proved to be in a convenient location. Waterbury has a charming Main Street area. It's also home to the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory and famous Apple Cider Mill! Make sure you check out Cabot Creamery ( lots of free samples, cheese and more!) and Lake Champlain Chocolates store. A short drive to Stowe (about 10 to 15 minutes) and the price is much better than hotels in Stowe. We drove to Stowe for dinner one evening and we drove in the next morning to spend the day. The hotel is not fancy, but comfortable. We didn't use the pool or hot tub. The breakfast buffet is free and offers a nice selection, including waffles, of which we're not normally a fan, but the real butter, Vermont maple syrup, and whipped cream made it a totally different experience. They also served sauteed veggies, fresh melon (yes, in October), ham, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal with various toppings, etc. The breakfast was much more than the usual hotel free breakfast. Great views as well!
