This property is off the path a bit and close to Hallmarks plant. It is in renovation and a bit quiet. We live in town and we’re getting plumbing work done at the house and were surprised to learn of comforts anti residents policy. We thought 150 dollar deposit per room was odd.

One of the box springs to bed was broken. Adults couldnt use it as sank in the middle. The pool was very cold and not filled all the way.

Tge room was way too hot and the A.C. didnt work well enough. The entire breakfast was cold, including the eggs, sausage gravy, and the biscuits. The towels were like sandpaper, too.

Overbearing Smell
When we arrived and got in the elevator there was an overwhelming odor, we took our bags to our and went to meet our kids I asked the front desk what it was and she said they got new carpet. We came back late that evening and by the next morning I was sick from the smell, we checked out and requested a refund but no manager was available and the young lady said we had to cancel 48 hours prior to our reservation to get a refund. When we went to check in at another hotel she was working there and again said I don’t know if you will get a refund. They had no fans or any type of equipment to decrease the smell.

Incidental rate was too high!
I did not appreciate that we were charged $150 for incidentals. That kind of charge should be for people who have little or no payment history with Choice Hotels. Also, the ironing board was jammed and would not unfold.

The hotel was clean but in need of updating. The furniture is dated and the bathroom was in need of repairs. The towel bar fell off the wall because one side was missing a screw. The hair dryer did not work and the faucet handle for the shower was not attached so it would fall off when turning on the water. Also, after flushing the toilet, the water would not stop running unless you jiggled the handle a certain way. The clock next to the bed was ancient and didn’t work because the power cord was missing.
