Worst stay

The beds were like laying on a table with a sheet over it. The room smelled like stale smoke. I wouldn't stay here again if they offered it for free. Definitely wouldn't recommend it.

A decent place, clean and well kept

Looks unassuming on the outside but the rooms are very clean and in good condition. Check in and out easily done on your phone. Nothing fancy but basic and decent.

Great budget motel.

Motel was clean, and priced for the budget minded. The mattress was old and sunk in the middle. Shower was really nice. Overall a good night's rest.

Disappointed

I’m afraid the Hilltop Motel was a disappointment, despite management’s best efforts. Check in was smooth, all-remote, they text you a code for the keypad on your door after you fill out some online forms. But the room was challenging, to be kind. Very, very small, barely enough room to walk past the 2 double beds. The cinder block walls are painted an institutional green, with only one dim light on the wall, a tiny lamp by the beds, or a shockingly bright overhead light, not at all welcoming. The tiles in the bathroom looked like they hadn’t been scrubbed in months, and one of the bulbs in the fixture over the sink was out. I think the linens were clean but the beds were so hard we all woke up with aches. I was with my 2 kids, 9 and 13, visiting family for July 4th. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but we bailed after the first night and went to a Hilton nearby. I suppose its ok for workers passing through, but my kids and I found it creepy and uncomfortable.

Was looking for a cheap motel. Im used to the crappy motels like motel 6 roaches or red roof inn and I was surprised how this place was way cheaper then those 2, way quieter and cleaner. Bed was comfortable I slept great.

Clean room with just a few quirks

Cleanliness was my top top priority and it was very clean! It is definitely very old (although the bathroom was updated nicely) and had a window unit air conditioner that was on the loud side and made the lights dim on and off while it was running. The A/C was off when we got there and after a 14 hour drive it wasn’t that pleasant walking into a stuffy room but it did cool down nicely after about an hour. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions so that was appreciated! Overall as far as motels go especially for the price it was a good value. And again if you’re looking for a clean, bug free place, you’ve found it! There was a water stain on our ceiling that I would definitely recommend they take care of but no telling how long it’s been there so maybe it just happened and they hadn’t had time yet to take care of it.

Weird service, not so clean rooms.

Came to check in at 5pm no one at the front desk, had an Alexa to call someone. Someone answered and told me to call on my cell. Then said room wouldn’t be ready til after 7:30pm, okay we left and got dinner and from desk said they’d take 25% off but then couldn’t cause I paid through third party. There were mystery stains all in the corners of the room, didn’t seem that clean tbh. Quite a couple of flying bugs in the room too. Wouldn’t stay again.
