The office staff was very helpful in accommodating us , we chose to change rooms to be closer to the soak tubs , they were able to that , also was able to find me a blow dryer (because none is provided in the room) as far as amenities, basically none . Upon entering our room we first noticed how dingy and old the couch was , the area rug was also not very nice , old . I realize this is an eclectic place and there were a few items in the waiting room that were pretty interesting. So a waiting room? Yes because for whatever reason you have to wait for tubs to fill, just one tub at a time can be filled . Mostly wait times were not more than 20 to 30 mins, so not too bad . There was a coffee maker but no coffee , everything was just old. I used some sheets and blankets to cover the couches so we could sit . The tubs could use some tlc as well . I really want to say the staff did what they could. But we will not be staying here again
Amazing quirky New Mexico experience. Loved it and will be back. 10/10.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, room comfort
Not a lot of bells and whistle, but nice.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean, but definitely showed it's age. I appreciated having a kitchenette in the room; my husband and I bought frozen vegan meals with us, so it was nice to have a fridge to store them in and a microwave to warm them up. The bed was comfortable, but thank goodness we had eye masks because the light across the street streamed into the room. The mineral baths were nice, and are free with motel stay. There was a little wait each time we soaked due to only one tub could be filled at a time; though it wasn't ever more than 15 minute wait each time. Overall it was a good experience.
This is my second stay. The property is so cute! Totally my style kitschy and with a vintage feel. The area around is quiet and safe. The tubs to use are first come first serve and I preferred them to the more expensive location we also had day use at.
I feel the only downside for me was the beds and pillows weren’t comfortable and the floor in Room 6 (second floor) was so loud. I felt bad for the people below us.
When I come back I will try a room attached to the office property.
In total it’s cute! I love staying there!
Loved this hotel. It has so much personality - fun and eclectic, exactly my kind of place. The room was comfortable and I really enjoyed using the hot springs bath onsite!
It looked really cute in the photographs. No Shower! They blamed Expedia for that. The staff (Kyle was on duty) was kind, courteous, and helpful. But the room was Ice cold with only a SMALL SPACE HEATER that didn't get turned on until I checked in. It never got comfortable. It was definitely cheap, but the '60s vibe didn't last with rusty sink, cracked walls, and not really very clean in the corners. I know old adobe is hard to keep clean and dust collects but still. I was disappointed.
In a world full of corporate models and non human interaction it’s a relief to have the Pelican.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Cleanliness
TorC is underwhelming for hotels. Pelican did a great job with their revitalization for old properties. Quaint. My friend had a great room. Mine wasn’t cleaned when I walked In. Staff jumped on it and cleaned it. ( no other rooms available). I realize things happen. Yet found I mentally had hang ups over the room. I’ll try them again. Just bummed with the first impression. It also backed up my calling before my trip and not getting ahold of anyone.
It was like having your bed in the middle of a thrift store. Not conducive to older people, were 77 and 81 and they put us on the second floor (with no elevator) the desk clerk would not make any concessions for us, would not change our room, because we booked our reservation with a third-party. The advertising through Expedia said nothing about a rate for our dog, It only said pet friendly. The desk clerk charged us $30, all the other hotels we stayed at (on our trip) said pet friendly, but did not charge.
Definitely more shabby than chic.(unique.)
More suitable for someone in their 20s and 30s.
