Great for an Overnight Stop

We've stayed here and in neighboring hotels many times over the years. It is pretty much exactly what you'd expect from this chain and level of hotel. Since we prefer to stay in Tucumcari and never again in Amarillo, there are plenty of choices here that we consider to be roughly equivalent. We don't want to stay in a "pet friendly" place due to allergies, so those kinds of hotels are not normally among our choices. The restaurant within a short walk (or other fast-food places, also a short walk) serve our needs, but there are also good choices elsewhere in town.

It was sufficient for a one night stop while traveling but I wouldn't recommend it. The tub looked dirty. My washcloth was stained. The window shade was ripped. It just wasn't a top notch experience.

Breakfast was horrible!!! Biscuits were gummy and not fully baked. Sausage gravy was not seasoned and runny. Pork sausage links were greasy and uncooked. Cheese omelet was not seasoned and cold. The pancakes were uncooked and gummy!!!

The customer service was good but the flooring when we walked into our room wasn’t even attached to the floor. Looked like a construction zone. My aunt tripped on it three times throughout our stay and it’s a huge safety hazard. If we weren’t so tired we would have requested a different room. But after a day of driving we didn’t have it in us to move all our stuff again.
