I like the Super 8 because its next foor to McDonald's. They only charge $10 for my dog. But I don't like getting the flawed rooms because of having a dog.

The property and room need updating. Painting the room, would be great. We were going to leave, but the staff was very courteous, and even offered our money back, so we stayed.

Everything was SO LOUD. This property (and several others nearby) are built 50-ft below the grade of I-10, which is 50-75 yards away. So you hear an amplified version of all of the road noise from the elevated freeway from all of the 18-wheelers coming through every minute or two. The room didn't shake, but I sure expected it to. We bailed at 2am after getting zero sleep since 10pm. I would avoid staying anywhere in Van Horn, period.
