Great overnight stop

My wife and I were traveling home from a long trip. We chose the Riverwalk Casino hotel in Vicksburg based on Hotels.com ratings and an extremely good price. I was greatly surprised at how big our room was how quiet and how comfortable it turned out to be. Other than hearing the casino at check-in we could have easily been anywhere. And it was nice to wake up to views of barge traffic on the river!

We loved staying here. Everyone was so nice. Our room was very nice and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Has restaurant options to eat in hotel lobby by Casino. We had a nice view of Mississippi river. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable with friendly staff

Room was clean and comfortable for an overnight during a road trip. Jessica was friendly during check-in and directed me re: hotel amenities. Great view of sunset on the MS River. The only oversight was one non-functioning bathroom light at the mirror (2 lights there so not a huge problem). Convenient to interstate.

Won’t stay again

The signage out front was not “hotel friendly”. We parked in the back and had to walk through the casino to get to the hotel portion. Then we were told it would be best to move our vehicle to the front. So I had to go back and move it. The person checking us in struggled to check us in. Tried getting a deposit from us multiple times. Had to end up asking for assistance. When taking a shower, the tub did not drain. There were only 3 pillows and they were all very flat.

The location on the river was beautiful. That’s the primary reason I chose it, plus the price was reasonable. The hotel was meh. Relatively large rooms. The carpet could have used a good cleaning. I don’t gamble but if I did it appeared to have a lot of opportunity. The food in the dining room was fair, but it was very inexpensive and the staff was very friendly.

Excellent quality for the price. Even though it is within the casino so the hall smells like cigarette, the room is not affected at all. The hotel sits right next to the Mississippi river, beautiful scenery.
