The staff at the Hilton are extremely professional and hospitable. Checking in was frictionless. There is a tram that goes to all of the towers of the Hilton so you don’t have to walk to your hotel with your heavy luggage. The pools and activities are great for families. The palace tower where our room was located in is partially being renovated so it was a definite eyesore. The hallway looks very outdated including our room. The rooms are modest so if you’re looking for luxury this is not the place for you. However, if you’re looking for reasonably priced, safe, and amenities for kids this is ideal.

Big — my wife enjoyed going around the resort and seeing the art, history, and Hawaiian feel. Due to it being winter, only minimum facilities open, but enough to enjoy. Better to go off-site to eat due to cost.

It’s like they put 2-star rooms/buildings on a 4-star property. Food was meh but pricey even for a resort, as was parking. Tram was comically slow. Towel dispensers were often empty. Everything else was great! 3.5 stars.

The property is very outdated. The whole property needs renovations. Our room had the most beautiful view but the room itself had a very weird smell and the furniture was very worn out.

At booking, property was supposed to offer free breakfast, but at check-in we were only given vouchers for adults not kids. This seemed like something obvious to fix but front desk refused multiple times even when expedia customer support got involved. Property condition at high-level, but upon closer inspection not so great: ice machines not functioning, shampoo/conditioner was never refilled in the room, despite high resort fees everything cost extra...
