The pros: This property was in a great location, we walked to the park, up the full length of Main St etc. Great parking and safe location. The room was large and very clean, plenty of space. Nice, well maintained pool, friendly staff. The cons: Our room had two queen beds, both of which had mattresses that pushed you to the middle of the bed making it feel like two people were sleeping in a twin. Mattresses not great. Also, shower had very little water pressure, water was nice and hot though.

Clean and quiet

What a quaint hotel in the heart of Wellsboro. The rooms are immaculate and we were easily able to walk to restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Quaint motel, very much in keeping with the small-town charm of Wellsboro. Right on the edge of Main Street, walkable to all shops and restaurants. Looks to have been refurbished fairly recently and the room decor was very well done from the bathroom to the curtain holders! Clean and well kept. The only minor issue was the a/c unit was quite loud...when the compressor kicked in, it sounded like an old muscle car running in the parking lot! But, some ear plugs solved that issue. Great place, highly recommend!

Great choice

We made a great choice. The location is perfect. Went to a nearby restaurant based on the desk clerk's recommendation and was told to tell them we were staying at this hotel and got a ten percent discount. Great meal too!

What we didn't even think of when reserving rooms here was the physical location - right on a street corner. Which can get fairly busy at morning and evening rush hours. For rooms near the back of the building, it's not too much an issue, but our rooms were right up front straddling the corner, and truck traffic at 6A was a little too much noise for a vacation. Otherwise, as other reviewers mentioned, staff go home at 10P, so make sure you have your room keys and anything else you need - you won't have anyone available until the morning. Rooms were pleasant enough (even if the walls are a little thin to hear a neighbor yelling at his phone); beds were a bit soft for my liking, but serviceable. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. I'd stay again - but asking for a room at the back!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this place so convenient to downtown Wellsboro's dining and shopping. Because it sits back off of the main drag it felt safe with plenty of parking.
