The room was spacious and they allowed pets for a small fee. The balcony overlooked the Hudson River and the sunset was beautiful. We will definitely be back again.

Cockroaches in the bathroom, the bathtub had dirt in it when we arrived. The cover for the bathroom light was missing and anytime the guests above us would walk dust and lint would fall into the bathroom. There were holes in the bathroom corners and in the closet area. The beds were terribly hard, my hips were so sore. You can hear every noise other guests staying next to you make. The lobby carries earplugs for this, not a fan. Breakfast is served in a paper bag with highly processed food. Disappointed. The staff was great, this is all beyond their control. The property needs major updating and cleaning.

Disappointing stay.
The condition of the room and bathroom was appalling for the pri e if this inn.One bed was so bad we couldnt use it. The towels in the bathroom were tiny. The "breakfast" ws a brown lunch bag with a prepackaged store bought muffin , a poptart ,a store prepackaged waffle and a 1/2 bottle of water. The blinds on the door were broken and the whole place outside was lit up so the room did not get dark for sleeping. The view was beautiful but it was not a comfortable stay.

Nice view of the Hudson River
The beds themselves were so loud when just rolling over. The train tracks are nearby and all we heard was the train whistle the entire night. The A/C sounded like it was a jet engine spooling up for take off. We did not get any sleep at all. The tenants above had lead feet and were walking all night back and forth. Additionally, you could hear almost every conversation just outside of our door in the parking lot.

This place desperately needs an upgrade and more staff to keep it clean. The gazebo area by the view had garbage everywhere including a full t-bone steak bone on the ground. Our room had spiders in it and the door would get stuck constantly. The "free breakfast" were paper lunch bags in the lobby filled with poptarts and store bought prepackaged muffins. If not for the location we needed for a wedding at the abby wedding hall up the hill? I would not stay again. The photos online are not what we arrived to. It was worse.

Not many options in Peekskill, so you pretty much get what you pay for. Doesn’t seem like they’re doing much to maintain the place over the years (we last stayed in 2016), so little touch ups could go a long way. Walls are thin too, so you can hear kids, conversations, etc.

Our room was noisy. There are trains that go by and blare their horns which is no big deal, but we turned on the AC for some white noise to cover the outside noises and it made this horrible, inconsistent grinding noise, so we kept it off. Im pretty sure I could hear the neighbors AC unit making the same noise throughout the night. Also, there is a tall clouded window next to the front door of the room with no curtain, so the outdoor lights were shining into our room all night with no way to cover them. Overall the stay was not dark or quiet, and we will not be returning. The room looked clean, but it badly needed a new paint job, most of the door frames had bare wood exposed from paint falling off over the years which really gave it a cheap feeling. Staff was friendly.

The view is Golden. Not a peaceful getaway.
Location and view is Gold. But if you’re looking for peace and quiet then this property is not ideal as the constant traffic noise from the nearby Croton Expressway is loud and startling at times. The train station nearby maybe a great connection advantage but the hourly blaring train horn will not make for a peaceful getaway. It is an industrial town with maintenance and construction activity in full swing - reflecting a growing economy but again it is not a peaceful writers retreat. The Inn needs new beds and mattresses as they’re creaking and even broken in some parts.

Great Location and view of the Hudson. Standard double room was far too overpriced given how it looked and felt like a cheap motel on the inside of the room! Second mattress was old and sinking, I paid for two good double beds just like in the photos. Old furniture, bathroom was too small, closet was old! Breakfast would be great with fresh bagels and a toaster and yogurt with some fruit and be called a free "continental breakfast". Get with the program pretty please! Thank you. Lovely garden but the hedge needs to be trimmed down so if you sit on the benches you could enjoy the view.
