This property was amazing! My wife and I stayed there for our 15th anniversary and had a wonderful time. The creek is so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed listening to nature as we ate breakfast out on the covered front porch every morning. Our favorite part was relaxing in the hot tub late at night. We will definitely stay here again!

Relaxing
We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin, the fire pit, the hot tub, the porch swing, the privacy, and that wonderful creek babbling down the driveway! We have no complaints, but do want folks to be aware that the only bed is up an awkward staircase in the loft. There is a futon and a sleeper sofa in the living room, but no real bedroom. We didn’t mind it, but we realized that we couldn’t recommend the cabin to our parents.

More than expected
The pictures don't do it justice. They aren't bad pics, but they are missing the glory that you experience when you are there. The song of the creek! Wow! The hot tub was ready and inviting. The cabin was absolutely clean, comfortable and peaceful. Every part of this cabin and property was thoughtful. We drank coffee next to the creek, filled the bird feeders, sat on the porch (in the 3 different seating areas), I was able to wash clothes while sitting around the firepit. I rocked in the rocking chair infront of the fireplace while watching satellite TV. There are books to read, games and puzzles, DVDs and NATURE. The cabin was easy to get to. It's also very private, but not scary. Only an easy 15 minutes to Bryson and maybe 25 minutes to Cherokee. Highly recommend! Comfortably fits a couple, but could fit a small family.

This was an amazing experience and was so beautiful. Me and the wife couldn't have asked for a better experience. Internet was down the whole time, but the whole point of getting away is to get away from the normal everyday life. This would still not steer us away from coming back. Thank you for an overall amazing experience and we will be returning.

28th Anniversary
Cabin on the Creek was simply amazing. The views of the babbling creek were beautiful and cleared your mind of all the noise. The cabin was simply and comfortable, the hot tub was perfect for long conversations and wine. We want to experience every season here, bird watching isn't exactly prime in the winter, so we will be back. 100% satisfied.

The Perfect Hideaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It's the perfect retreat for an escape with the sound of a rushing stream nearby! The cabin included all needed amenities for cooking. We especially enjoyed the hot tub under the stars! One word of warning... The cabin is up a steep incline or a single-lane gravel road. We had no challenges in our minivan; however, the drive might require a 4-wheel drive vehicle during wintery conditions.

Peaceful
We stayed for 4 days 3 nights. It was very beautiful deep in the mountains and secluded from everyone else. We slept very peacefully hearing the creek beside us. The hot tub was nice and clean and the cabin was well stocked with what needed. They had great books and movies to keep us entertained. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all but that didn’t bother us we enjoyed being away from our phones. But if you need to use your phone for anything The front porch where the red chairs are provides 1 bar! Our host was great in communicating with us. Everything was contactless. I enjoyed our stay very much.

Peaceful
The property was very clean and the pictures described it very well. Super secluded and a great retreat but only 15 minutes from things to do. I would say the only issues were it was totally secluded we could never get the Wi-Fi password from the property manager and the satellite TV did not work thank goodness for DVDS. Property management failed to let us know there was no place to dispose of the trash, the hot water was turned off under the sink due to a dripping faucet but that’s a turn of a knob. Lastly we started doing laundry the night before departure to find out the dryer was non-functional so we had to find a laundromat in Cherokee. The property manager was nice and apologetic when I disclosed the issues. I was an overall great experience and would recommend the cabin on the creek to anyone looking for a great getaway and disconnect.

Beautiful property, not so good customer service
The property sits on a wonderful piece of land. Up the mountain a few miles, pretty much completely secluded. The creek running through was amazing listening to that all day long. The internet didn't work, but that was expected. Cell phone service was a little touch and go. The hot tub didn't work at all when we were there. Contacted the rental company via email, got a response back then nothing. Then called and was told that there was a lighting storm that occurred the week prior and that that was the cause. Said they were going to send someone out that day. Never heard anything back. Would have been nice to know before hand since they knew then that it wasn't working. Customer service didn't rate well at all in my book.

Perfect retreat
The cabin was peaceful and perfect for a home base while exploring the Smokies. An older review mentions how the bed had no headboard so he was "chasing his pillow" all night - the good news is, there was a terrific new bed frame by the time we got there so that isn't a concern anymore. One thing to note is the road up is pretty steep and bumpy, with the final stretch being mainly gravel - but on our last day, the worst stretches were paved over so it'll be even easier to get up to the cabin than before. We'll be back!

Private
This cabin is the perfect private getaway! It’s in a great location being close to Bryson city and Cherokee. We visited both of these places and the Great Smoky Mountain national park while there. The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed having the hot tub. It is far enough out that no one will deliver food so if you don’t want to go out take what you need to eat. The kitchen had everything we needed and there are plenty of heaters to keep you warm. Would highly recommend!

Incredible location, very private yet reasonably close to everything
Pictures for the listing don't do it justice. It's far better in person and you just have to see it for yourself. The location is very remote (which we loved) yet close to all of the area attractions, restaurants, grocery store, etc. Neither AT&T or Verizon works reliably here but expect the same anywhere due to the terrain. Cabin is solid & rustic. Gas logs easily heat it entirely. Weather was in the 70s so had to run wall mounted AC unit on main floor but that wouldn't cool the upstairs loft bedroom. Tried with window open up there at night with a fan running to pull in the outside cool air but still uncomfortable so I don't see us booking this during the hotter months. TV is DishNetwork with base package. Internet is very slow (internet wasn't working when we arrived but worked after power cycling the router). No dialtone on the phone our entire stay (was reported but not resolved prior to checking out; was a little concerning in case something happened and if 911 needed to be called). Internet wouldn't adequately support wifi calling. The outdoor firepit was a highlight as was the huge hot tub. The loft bed has no headboard and has to sit away from the wall due to the angle of the roof so I chased my pillow all night since nothing there to keep it in place. We tried the pullout sofa bed downstairs but the mattress (despite appearing to be new and unused) was thin and uncomfortable. The property definitely has more PROs than CONs to me and we enjoyed our stay and plan to return. Some suggestions to improve the property: the front porch needs a gate to prevent accidental fall down the steps that lead to the lower level (would be problematic for those bringing young children). An upstairs AC unit is needed to cool that area. Not sure what could be done with the upstairs bed setup or with the mattress on the pullout sofa but just noting this so you know what you'll have if you book this property. Overall, it was great and I think we'll be back. The rushing creek/stream is incredible and by far our favorite place to sit and enjoy the Covid isolation.
