Perfect quiet getaway!
If you are looking for an off the beaten path quiet getaway with pretty views and privacy this is the place for you. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back! The cabin was clean and exactly what we needed for a couples getaway. Perfect place for an outside fire and star gazing with zero highway noise. 10/10 recommend this diamond in the rough!

We loved the property and our stay there. The only thing that needs to be improved is the shower. There was very little water pressure and the water temperature was either freezing cold or burning hot.

Nice cozy cabin
Enjoyed a 4-day stay at this cabin. Fireplace inside and fire pit outside. It is located on a cliff overlooking the Blanco River which is sometimes dry, but it's still fun to walk the river bottom. Full kitchen, HVAC system, deer on the grounds.

Great stay in the Hill Country
The host made sure to provide an excellent experience in addition to the natural beauty. The dry river bed down the cliff was great to hike and there are some great rock formations to climb around. Many deer in the area for great photo opportunities.

Peaceful, incredible view, secluded
Incredible view of the Blanco river bed. Secluded but not too far from Wimberly about 10 mins. Super peaceful. Good cell service for AT&T. Could use a better grill. Cabin was cozy, heat and air worked great. Only issue was the sink stopped up on the garbage disposal side, and was not resolved during our stay. The communication about the issue was good but it was not fixed during our stay. It was on the weekend. Overall would definitely recommend to stay here.

Porch/tree swing completely unsafe, rotten, and not usable :(
I will begin my review by saying that I had no intention of posting a review. I emailed the host directly because I wanted to share some valuable feedback with them in hopes they might take the time to provide a bit of TLC to their rental for future guests. I did not ask for a discount or refund from my booking. The email was sent three days ago and they did not reply. I do not know if they plan to address any of these concerns so I have decided to share my experience so future renters can make an informed decision. One of the main reasons I booked this magical escape was because I was looking forward to sitting on the porch swing reading. Upon my arrival I was elated to arrive just before sunset. I quickly unloaded my car so that I could do nothing for the remaining hours of the day while gently rocking back and forth. I was met by an epic disappointment after making my way out to the swing. It had certainly seen better days, but I was not discouraged. Despite the fact there were some nails sticking out of the back, I quickly sat down in a safe location. I leaned against the back of the swing and to my dismay, it was no longer attached. The wood had actually rotted apart. Thankfully, the swing did not collapse beneath me. The property setting is a magical oasis in central Texas. The cabin itself is in relatively good shape. All it needs is some occasional TLC from its property owners or management company to keep it a five star rental. It’s a rustic cabin. It has charm and character naturally. That shouldn’t be at the cost of amenities that are not fully operational and certainly not at the cost of safety standards. I am frustrated that a porch/tree swing is being advertised as an amenity at the cabin. I have suggested to the hosts they may consider removing this feature for future renters so their expectations are better managed. Here are some issues I experienced at your rental that could use maintenance: Bugs throughout the interior, mostly dead thankfully :) Refrigerator leaking water inside of it, and onto the floor outside. A dozen wasps on the screened in patio, luckily friendly. Left sink does not drain efficiently Dining chair has seat falling out. Porch/tree swing completely unsafe, rotten, and not usable

Small well appointed cabin located on a bluff above the Blanco River located about 8miles outside of Wimberley. The only issue we had was water pressure for the shower. They stay was great. A lot of wildlife to watch and was very quite. Just what we needed. Thanks.

Close enough to Wimberly to be convenient, but far enough out to feel like you are really getting away. Cabin seems bigger in person than online, host thought of everything you could need. Only comment is that sometimes we couldn't maintain hot water in the bathroom, but will still highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Relaxing Stay - Great Value
Pictures on site a bit outdated for the outside but the expectations were at par. The home was cozy. The things mentioned in previous comments (mice and patio screen) were fixed so thankfully it was even better. They provide all the comforts of home except cloths and food 😁which made it so awesome. The cabin we stayed at was right by the stairs, nice to walk down to certain point but the river was dry. There is a small lake if you’re willing to take the hike. Other than that, we loved it. There’s things nearby but the cabin was our vacation hub. The only minor thing is the ants in the kitchen, they don’t budge on early check in and need blackout shade where the motion light is because it too bright to sleep. Oh, and cut grass around swing area…we didn’t use swing because it looked too fragile. It was beautiful place…we definitely will book again and recommend.

$th of July getaway
We're a retired couple and my husband & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a low key, easy going kind of visit. We enjoyed nature and had some fantastic birdwatching. We could sit under the ceiling fan on the screened in porch and watch birds alighing on a tree about 20 ft. from us! We brought tubes thinking we could at least sit in the water (knew we couldn't "tube" as it were) but, alas, there was no water in the river at that spot. As it turns out, we really didn't have time for that anyway; but even if there had been water we couldn't have made it down to the river--it was way too steep for us even with the stairs (at our age anyway). So if you really want to "tube" or even sit in the river, this cabin won't work for you. We loved everything else about it. Bed was very comfy; kitchen was good; screened porch was awesome. The television was way "too Smart" for us and we couldn't quite figure it out (we didn't see any directions or anything) but we had brought along our Bose stereo and had books so, again, not a real problem for us. The kitchen could use a toaster..... We would certainly stay at this cabin again. As an aside--the trash bin is way out by the entrance to the property and not anywhere around the cabin....
