Brett was very kind and welcoming. He had set up fans to help relieve the unseasonably hot temperatures. The restroom had a bit of a septic smell, but was clean. The internet was newly installed, and while it's a great amenity to have, it went out the second night and didn't come back on before we checked out the next morning, and Brett let us know it has been going out intermittently. Not his fault, but just keep that in mind if internet is essential for you. The mosquitoes and black flies were also unusually crazy, so we weren't able to take advantage of the GORGEOUS location as much as we had hoped. The property is ready for s'mores, fishing, and walks around the pond, so bring your bug spray and get outside! Washer and dryer appeared brand new. Regular drip coffee maker and Keurig available. The kitchen is functional, but it would be helpful if a full set of measuring spoons, measuring cups, ice trays, salt, coffee sugars, and cooking oil were provided. Of course, none of those are necessary if the listing doesn't say pantry items are provided (VRBO has a list of essentials that should be provided if this is part of the listing, otherwise it's helpful to know what we need to bring). That's hardly a complaint, though, when Brett brought over his own salt mill for us when we asked, and we were able to pick up ice at the gas station. 100% recommend this if your needs are simple, and you want to get out and enjoy the mountains. It was conveniently located for everything we wanted to do. Comes complete with a sweet kitty to visit.
