I liked the history of the property but there was justvsomething missing. The staff there was unpleasant and could care less if we were there. The valet guys were the best of the place. There was one security guy there that any time i looked at him he looked at me lije he wanted to throw me out.

Room 218 has casino loudspeakers built into the floor that play bass heavy music at 67 decibels until 3:30am when reduced to 60db. Impossible to sleep. No price reduction. Moved to a room with no temp control on the shower. Water valves were stripped. Staff were very pleasant. The manager was rude as hell.No matter how bad things are, no discounts or comps. Simple fixes could be done. They don't care.

Enjoyed my room. A Little trip back in time. Nicely cleaned. Good linens and towels. Short on TV Channels but who goes to Las Vegas for TV. Good parking with the room. Main St. side room so zooming motorbikes at 3am. Interior room probably better for sleeping. I know this is Vegas and it's loud and raucous but didn't understand why the casino music had to be so loud. Especially at registration. The poor desk clerk had to repeat herself 3 times. I enjoyed the room but every time I stepped off the elevator I just wanted to flee the casino the music was so loud. I guess they wanted to chase away all the dead ghosts. Overall the rates I had were a terrific value ! I hope to come back again.

Golden Gate is a great hotel and close to the best parts of Vegas. The staff is very helpful, the cost is very reasonable and the rooms are always clean. Fremont Street and Circa and just outside the door so it's very convenient. The rooms are quiet and not really impacted by Fremont Street. Definitely recommend this hotel for those wanting to be away from the Strip.

The Golden Gate was the FIRST hotel built in Las Vegas in 1906 with 10 rooms. I have stayed there many times. I love the history and stay in one of the original 10. The room is small but has everything you need. Quaint & Comfy. Located at One Fremont St convenient to everything. You will NOT get any sleep maybe newer rooms in the back. The music NEVER stops and vibrates the building. Open the curtains and watch the party from your room. Casino is friendly and everyone is nice. Be sure to look at the old slot machine display and artifacts everywhere. Love it!

No where was it explained that there is extremely loud music playing all night. The windows were rattling due to noise. It gets quiet only around 5am. Dont plan on sleeping.

Told valet, car location did not feel safe, i was right, my alarm went off, i went down to check it, fingerprints on my windows and doors. NO Clean Water, drink unfiltered tap. Dirty rugs need steamed, or removed, not powdered, NO Microwave, NO Refrigerator! For my medecine , i was told to pay extra! No Toothpaste, NO NOTHING, its just a bed and shower, nothing more. They Take Your ID for carts? Unacceptable risk of them giving someone else back My ID in vegas...And mgr acted some type of way because i asked them to come to my room. They actually asked me to come to Their desk. Is this the Comic hotel service?

The fact you get to use the Circa "Stadium Swim" is amazing. This is one of the all time great pool areas. Room was smallish compared to other Vegas rooms but thats cool. I'm in Vegas and not living in my room.
