Hotels.com - probably not - Hilton is the best!

With the exception of the lack of follow-through from Hotels.com, it was a five-star property. The staff was exceptional and first-rate when Hotels.com messed up our reservation. They made sure my family was comfortable and offered to book us a room at our price promised. They worked hard for us until we were comfortably in our room and made all of the corrections that should have been done by Hotels.com. It is not that I am unhappy with them completely, they usually do a good job. I just don't like being asked to switched hotels and then do not follow through with making the changes THEY asked us to make. Fortunately, the Hilton Corporation did a fantastic job to make up for it.

I loved the facility, however either you, Expedia, or I failed to include a third night. I came back to the hotel at 4:00 PM to find all of my positions in a basket in the lobby. I did not get a call, a text or an email or another room as they were booked full at that point. There was absolutely no interest in helping me. I of course missed my evening event. I was without a car, but fortunately had a relative in the area and am sleeping on their couch.

I dont like the soap dispensers. Silly name and incomprehensible sayings on the bottles. They require 2 hands to operate; doesn't seem ADA compliant. My wife just had surgey on her right hand, so I have to squeeze the bottles for her. The soap bottles over the sink and in the shower are empty. Clearly housekeeping can't tell when they're running low or completely out.

The room was extremely dirty with hair and visible stains on the furniture and bed and also a large brown smear on the head of the bed. The shower also as visibly dirty so much that I did not feel safe to use it. The building was extremely loud and I had to bring it up to the desk person several different times. I took pictures of the horrible conditions if needed.

Fine.

Newer hotel near shops (literally next door to Costco). Unfortunately didn't start great as when we arrived (4pm ish?) my family and I walked in and stood by the desk. The two staff behind the desk had one member on the phone and the other looking at some papers. We stood there for approximately 90 seconds/two minutes before either looked at us or acknowledged us (there were no other customers in front of, or behind, us), when the staff member not on the phone then told us that their system was down and we'd have to wait for the other person (I should point out that those two staff members had spoken to each other a few times regarding what appeared to be a customer on the phone). There were no "hello"s, or "one second", nothing. The hotel itself was clean, breakfast was a typical breakfast selection (although the staff in and around the lobby and breakfast that morning were super friendly), and the bed was comfortable. I would stay again, however I would point out that whoever stayed in the room next to ours put their tv on at midnight super loud and woke us up. That's not the hotel's fault however, and thankfully it didn't seemed to last too long.

Clean, new, and fresh hotel. Rooms were small but had everything we needed. Property was also very convenient to nearby shops and dining. The only complaint is that the breakfast offerings were pretty sparse.
