This is a beautiful resort in a beautiful location about 20 miles North of Kona. The views are beautiful, the pools are nice, there is a nice salt lake lagoon that is connected to the ocean.
The biggest downside is the need to walk. The resort is designed to be unnecessarily large and you need to walk quite a bit to get from some place to another, to the extent that walking can take away from the fun.
There are not enough food options and it is difficult to discover some of the relatively convenient food locations because the resort is too large and you may find yourself hungry and have to walk for 30 minutes so that you can get to the restaurants/groceries in the nearby shopping centers.
We were handed bottled waters upon check-in and were told that there are refill stations throughout, but there was only one refill station that was quite far from our room.
